Today 2/20 ONLY at CVS: 2 FREE Purex Laundry Detergents

Bay Area DealsCouponsCVS

If you can get your hands on a Sunday paper today (some papers have an Early Edition – for my locals it’s the SF Chronicle) there is a coupon in the 2/21 Red Plum for BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent or 3in1 Sheets.  They are currently on sale at CVS buy one get one free.  Use the coupon and they are BOTH FREE!

My plan:

Buy 6 Botttles @ $6.99/2 (BOGO)
Use (3) BOGO Coupons
Buy something for $5.00 (anything you might need)
Use a $5/20 CVS Coupon (I got one from this last week’s Wed. paper)
Final Price: EVERYTHING FREE!

Even if you don’t have a $5/$20 coupon and only have 1 paper, you can still get 2 bottles/sheets of Purex free!

good morning,
I just tried to do this deal this morning. I was denied. What CVS do you go to?

Hi,
Went to the CVS on Balfour Rd in Brentwood. I am looking up the coupon policy. Would you have it handy? P.S. So excited about the class tonight!! Thanks!

Just got back from my free trip to CVS – 2 Crest ProHealth, 1 Aussie Hairspray and 2 Purex 3-in-1. There was an SF Chron Early edition IN the store! Thanks for all the info!

Update: armed with the CVS coupon policy (thanks Julia!) and Purex coupons, I went back to CVS. Different cashier, I sailed in with no problems! My transaction: bought 6 purex detergents (bonus size too!) and one 8 pack of duracell batteries that were on ad for $5.99. Used 3 BOGO purex coupons and 1 $.50/1 for the duracell. I also used my $5/20 coupon that Julia told us about. Total for everything: $2.38! The frugal find rocks!!

Had to go to two CVS’ cause the first one (which I hate anyway but it’s closer!) claimed they couldn’t take my coupons. The supervisor understood and wanted to take my side but he went back to talk to the manager, the manager told him no. The manager did NOT come talk to me but told the supervisor I could call him directly if I wanted to speak to him! What?! He was in the store but I needed to call him to speak to him about it?! Annoying. I explained to the supervisor that the store gets their money back from the manufacturer. He understood but his hands were tied. I went to my other, more coupon friendly store. No problem at all. I had to pay $1.99 ea for my 3 in 1 sheets since the coupon was $7 max. But what a deal either way!!!

to enaomizmom,

Wow! I also go to Balfour Rd in Brentwood! Were you denied with the purex bogo? I went to that store before and got denied using my $1 off Ivory coupons because of the “one coupon per purchase” phrase. I went to my car and called 1800CVS and they called store manager. So they took all my coupons and even asked me how I learn the coupon thing. They were friendly after that encounter. =)

Hi monalissa,
Yes it was for the purex bogo I was denied. I will put the CVS number in my phone, just in case! Thanks!
