Target: Free Scotch Tape, Post-It’s, & Sharpie Highlighters

Back To SchoolTarget

I took a picture of the items that are cheap/free from the conveyor belt at Target – I had a HARD time finding these items and a big part of it was because I was looking for the wrong thing.  First off – it’s only the scotch tape that is pictured above, not the regular green packaging.  You can thank my daughter for scanning each and every one for you.  :)   My store was out of stock of the regular Post-it pads, but I was happy to find the page marker kind for $1.09, so only $0.09 after coupon!

Also, another tip – the Back to School Seasonal area was packed and basically out of stock on most items.  So instead we went over to the regular office supply aisles and found a small supply of the items we wanted with no crowds at all!

Post-it Sticky Note Pads 3X3  – $1 ea
$1/1 Post-It printable coupon (PDF from Manufacturer’s Site)
Final Price: FREE!

Scotch Magic Tape – $0.50 ea
$1/3 Scotch Magic Tape, exp. 11-19-10 (SS 08/08/10)
Final Price: 3 for $0.50 or $0.17 ea!

Sharpie 2ct Highlighter – $0.75 ea
$1/2 Sharpie Accent Pens Multipack Target printable
Final Price: $0.24 ea!

The Post-it coupon says 1$ off Super-Sticky Notes, did it work with the regular ones?

I was able to do the scotch tape deal this morning, but when the cashier scanned the coupon, it took off 50 cents and not $1. He scanned my coupon two more times to get me the $1 off after reviewing the coupon (don’t know what to say about that)…. so keep a look out everyone…..!

Target has been doing funny thing with coupons lately, on my last trip i had to return a couple of things because it didn’t take the real coupon value, so when that happens it bothers me a lot, and I just return the items back. I was busy with my son and couldn’t check the cashier while she was scanning the coupons…that’s the thing with coupons, you have to supervise 100% everything when they are scanning…and sometimes is not easy…and cashiers hate it when you don’t take your eyes off them…

I am trying to figure out how the highlighters were only .24.. If they were $1 apiece and the coupon was for $1/2, wouldn’t that make them .50 each? Or are you saying each individual highlighter is .24? I’m totally confused. :)

Thanks Katie, that was a typo – the highligters are $0.75 per package before coupon!

I’m about to do my shopping this evening at Target. I have about 20 items on my list, and after all my coupons *before tax* should be about $2.50oop. . . . Right now, I’m having a hard time finding the $1/3 Scotch Magic Tape from the SS in yesterday’s paper. I see a coupon for $1 off any scotch scissors. . . .

Any help please!?

It was a regional coupon, not all papers got had the coupon inside. In my area I know the SF Chronicle DID have it.

Got my .24 cent highlighters, but I don’t think my post-it coupon came off. I did not watch close enough. One of the many downfalls of shopping with 4 kids ;)
