Dollar Tree Deals Week of 8/26

Dollar Tree

It’s official – the Dollar Tree will start accepting coupons this Sunday 8/26, you can see the Dollar Tree Coupon Policy online here.  Here are the best deals that I spotted at 2 of our local Dollar Tree stores.  I asked the cashiers at both stores what they think about the new policy, and both of them were very nervous.  It seems like there has been a lot of pressure on them to make sure they accept the proper coupons/values/etc according to the coupon policy – so PLEASE be patient with them andPLEASE make sure you are indeed using the right coupons with the products they are intended for.  Always make sure to read the fine print for size restrictions, etc.

Happy shopping and if you spot a deal I don’t have listed it would be awesome if you shared it in the comments section!

It doesn’t state how many like coupons we are allowed to use, do you know anything about that?

Judy it doesn’t have a limit listed, but it does say up to the managers discretion. There is a limit of 2 printed coupons per transaction though.

The dollar store near where I live in Pittsburg, CA carries Mio water enhancer and there is a $1.00 off coupon on one of your links for that. Also, kraft sizzling salads (its a neat little 2 pack box with seasoning for chicken and salad) there is a manufaturer coupon for $1.00 off directly on the product. I have noticed that they also sell Jenny O turkey bacon now too, Do you know if there are any Jenny O coupons out? Great job on your blog I have been following you for about a year or 2 now I havent found another local coupon blogger so thx for still reporting on local deals in this area although you moved out of state. God bless!

that happened to me too this morning. The checker was not trained on how to accept the coupons and they also did not scan so they just marked it down (my coupon was for .75 off of toothpaste)

That is ridiculus. So someone gets 50 items they will be there forever checking out. Wondering how long this will happen as people are going to be upset having to wait in line.

I went this morning and the cashier’s policy said they can’t bundle coupons in a single transaction, which they took to mean that they can’t accept more than one coupon per transaction. I explain to them that they had to enter each coupon seperatley and not add (bundle) the amount together. For example I bought 4 super pretzels and had 4 $1 off coupons, so they had to enter $1 four times instead of just enter $4 once. After I explained that to them there were no problems and the transaction went very smooth.

So, I was the first person to use a coupon in the Concord store. They were all excited. Asked about coupon policy. They said, 2 limit on printed coupons. No limit on paper coupons, unless stated otherwise.

I was able to use 3 coupons in one transaction. The coupons wouldn’t scan for the cashier so she asked someone for help. The other cashier tried to tell me that they only accept coupons for food items. I told him that wasn’t true according to their policy so he went to the office to ask. He returned and told the cashier to accept them. He was able to show her how to scan them successfully. Seems like corporate made a policy change and forgot to pass it on to the employees.

The Dollar Tree where I live (Tracy) said I could not use the buy 1 get 1 free coupon for the Pepsi Next because in the policy it states that they cannot accept coupons with FREE on it. I thought it meant if you were not paying for anything but she said “no.” They had the policy posted but I am pretty sure that it meant if you had a coupon for a free item-meaning no money spent at all. Anyone else encountered this?
