Couponing for Community starts today – A challenge with a prize!

Bay Area Deals

This is going to be a fun week!  There are over 50 bloggers participating now!  Take a minute to read more about Couponing for Community before you read the rest.

I’ve decided to really push you guys to join me, your community needs you!   It’s simple, I’m challenging you to participate with a prize for the winner at the end.

Challenge: How far can you stretch $5?

Prize: $20 cash

Rules: To detemine the winner, I’ll need to see pictures of your “loot” and receipts.  I don’t want this to becomeall technical and wordy so we’ll determine the savings based on the price that shows up on your receipt not the shelf price as that varies across the nation.  Just to clarify, this is a FOOD challenge, while toiletries, diapers, etc are ALWAYS needed, in this challenge we are focusing on food.

Now I know it seems a little off to reward the winner for doing something we should all be doing, but sometimes we need a little jumpstart, and what if…the winner were to take that $20 and “Coupon for Community” for 4 more weeks!  You don’t have to, just an idea. :)

So, will you join me?  If so – leave acomment here as your pledge to enter the challenge!

I already donated the food, because the donation bins are at the exit doors of the supermarkets.
