I recommend walking, not only can you get your excercise but it’s a great way to destress, too!
Tip:
When the kids go out in the yard to play- I speed-walk the yard, round and round!
I really need to get healthy! I try to walk everyday it is the best exercise and when it comes down to it everyone needs to walk. I help patients and it is sad when they can no longer walk to the bathroom. So keep walking everyone!
I find that if you exercise with the kids, you actually can find time! Taking them for a walk, riding bikes, etc.
Working out at home, jogging in place if that is the only exercise you will get that day!
Break up exercise into smaller units of time. You may not have time for a thirty- or forty-minute workout, but what about a few ten-minute sessions throughout the day? It can even be better for you to elevate your heartrate multiple times during the day. You can even burn more calories that way!
Park a little farther from the door to stores to get in a few extra minutes of walking!
Clean your house!! So many people hire cleaning services and while cleaning services are great, you burn a lot of calories just workin that vaccum! Also, find a friend, sign up for a 5k walk/run. Not only is it a great bonding experience but it’s a fantastic mood booster as well, you will be so proud of yourself when you finish, and if you run for a cause and raise some money along the way, even better! Being happy is also important to being healthy! Check out my blog at gladysandgladys.blogspot.com where my best friend and I write about life and all it’s ups and downs!
I’m subscribed as a reader now as well!
I’ve sent you a Facebook friend request also!
Walking – even breaking it up into 10 minute intervals – is a great easy way to get some exercise!
Anything is better than nothing. I got a practice strength training set from http://www.noexcusesworkouts.com (hate to tell all his stuff and not reference the trainer) and fit in a few pushups and lunges even if I don’t have time for anything else:)
Find a gym buddy and go in the mornings before work and before the day gets hectic.
Walk at lunch, take the stairs, and park far away from the building.
i like to take my son for a walk around the neighborhood
