We had a great time at the news station today – we brought the kids and they got to see the anchor, cameras, and everything from behind the scenes! That’s not something you see everyday, it was a really neat experience. I took the picture of the Frugal kids above while Mr. Frugal filled the parking meter. I just love how it captures their unique personalities! Here is a view from behind the scenes…

Now being on camera is rarely a welcome experience for most people, myself being one of those people! However today, I felt so calm as we began chatting – I realized once again that THIS is what I LOVE! No not being on camera – but blogging here for all of you. I’m very passionate about it and so incredibly blessed to be able to do what I love alongside my husband. We couldn’t do it without you, our readers – so thank you for being a part of our story and for checking in daily and for supporting our family – by sending in encouraging emails, sharing deals that you’ve found, and for taking advantage of the offers we feature here which help to also support us financially. We couldn’t be more thankful!
Here is the segment from today at the CBS 5 News Station…

Great job, Julia! Looks like you’re gonna be a regular at CBS. So proud of you!
Thanks Esper! We’d love to go back again, hopefully that will work out.
GREAT job!
Thanks Megan
Awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to post all the deals. I know its your business but I’m sure that it can be tiresome. I just started and I get tired! My whole city (Sacramento) seems to be buzzing with coupon craze. Everytime I go into the store lately there is a woman with a binder in her cart! Today I didn’t even bring my binder b/c I had to cart around my 2 month old so I used envelopes and just wrote what I needed on them. Today at Target I got in line behind a girl with her binder and we happened to buy similar items. Our Nexcare band-aids were ringing up at regular price so the girl before me pulled out her ad and showed the cashier who changed it. This helped me make my transaction quick!
Again thank you so much and to the rest of the readers thank you as well. I not only read the post but I read the comments b/c readers offer insight as well!
I love that it’s spreading! That many more families learning to save more, give more, and live more!

That was awesome, Julia! You did great, totally naturally and professional. I really love your blog and that you share about your faith and your life. I am so inspired and encouraged that God has sustained your family through this blog and you don’t hesitate to give Him the glory for that. Congratulations! I stumbled on your site about 5 months ago and loved your videos. I had been to other sites but you were the most detailed and to be honest, your personality comes across the camera very well. You have the feel of an old friend. I loved it even more when I found out you were local. I got sooo excited to see you in our newspaper today. You would have thought I was bragging about one of my kids! Thank you for all your hard work and keep living the life that you know God wants for you.
Awesome job Julia. Thank you for all you do. You have saved me so much money.
