This deal didn’t work at Walgreens in Clayton. Turns out the coupon is for “insoles”, it beeped at the register and the cashier read it carefully. It’s not for the Arch product. I know some cashiers would just push it through, but not this one!

The price around here is $7.49 so its not quite free. Still, paying $1 for a $5 reward is pretty good.

The really great deal this week doesn’t even involve RRs – the G2 pilot pens two pack are on sale for $1.19. There is a $1 off coupon in the July coupon book and you can get a manufacturer’s coupon for another $1 off at: http://www.notjustapen.com/ Just make sure to scan the manufacturer’s coupon first and have enough “other items” to cover the .81 overage.

I was very disappointed yesterday when I went to Walgreens and tried to do this deal. They only had ONE Dr. Scholl’s for Her Hidden Arch Inserts and ONE Dr Scholl’s for Her Rough Skin Eraser Creams. They wouldn’t let me use the printed coupons because I didn’t buy an ‘insole’ which is what it says on the coupon. I had a coupon from a sample I had gotten in the mail that I was able to use. I didn’t get a RR – they said they have no control over the Catalina but its because I used too many coupons.

Also, on another transaction I used a RR to pay for part of it and I didn’t get another one because they said if I use one I don’t get another one, even though its from different companies (I had used a Kellog’s RR for Head & Shoulder’s products…) Does anyone else have these problems? Couponing and rewards programs are confusing and never seem to work out for me the way sites like this say they will.
