Target’s Price Matching in Action!

We bought our son’s birthday present last Saturday, it was also a part of his Halloween costume, score!  However the price tag of $34.99 was a bit tough to swallow.  We were in a bit of hurry with the Fall Fest at church just a few hours away, so we bit the bullet and purchased it anyways making him fully aware that if he got anything else from us for his birthday it would be fairly small. We bought it that day at Target.

The Sunday’s paper came and in it was the Toy’s R’ Us catalog with the exact same Star Wars Lightsaber was listed for $24.99, $10 less!  Just today my husband took the reciept and the Toy’s R’ Us ad into Target and got back the difference in cash.  It was so easy!  This is going to be a fun Christmas Shopping season…you mean we don’t have to fight the Toy’s R’ Us crowds just to get a good deal anymore?

I’m so glad you got the difference back, and that you posted this. I purchased a Spin and Fix Thomas as a Christmas gift for my boys on Friday and paid $45 using Target’s $5 off coupon. My hubby assured me that $50 was the cheapest he’d seen it anywhere. Guess what’s in this week’s K-Mart ad for $35?

I had no idea Target price matched! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to the store with the lower price purchased it and returned the higher priced item back to Target! I didn’t know they gave 5cents back on using reusable bags either. I almost always use reusable bags and have never gotten the per bag cost. I will remember to ask the next time I go to target.
