The iPhone trade-in offers are:

  • $200 for any iPhone 4
  • $150 for any iPhone 3Gs
  • $100 for any iPhone 3G

the $150 credit is only for iphones with NO cracks in the back plates. I went to the website to see what I would get for my 3Gs, 32 gb, with no scratches, in perfect working order, and the online valuation tool specifically asks if there is a “1/2 inch long crack in the back plate” which mine has even though it has been kept in an otterbox…. so the value for mine is only $90, not $150

I don’t own an iphone BUT don’t you think they know all phones get that crack if they state or ask if it has a “1/2 inch crack” I mean really, that’s pretty percise and doesn’t seem fair…

Hmm….wondering if it will still work if I’m not eligible for an upgrade until later this year.. Pretty neat though.

My 3GS got a crack too with an otter box case as well! That’s weird?

I have had the same iPhone 4 for going on two years now, since it was new and it has no cracks (almost afraid to say this). SO far so good, but I have gone thru numerousl iFrogs cases that have cracked and now I have a nice case mate case that fits my debit card (holding it securely!). Got the case-mate case recently from a link provided by Frugal Find and I LOVE IT! It isn’t at all bulky and seems VERY sturdy and comfy in my front pocket.

What if you are already in contract? Does it have to be a new contract?

I went and got in on this deal today and asked questions for a couple friends who are interested. The deal is if you are still in a contract they will bill you your contract termination fee. So if you are not done with your 2 year contract they will charge you. They will take all your phones and will give you a target credit on a gift card then you can turn around and use that to buy your new phone. They will also give you an extra 5% off for using your target card.

    thanks Julia!!

I just did the deal tonight. My 3GS had the cracks on the back and I still got 104.00 for it! Woohoo! :) So cool. And the guy said they do this all the time, it doesn’t end today. :) I love my new iPhone 4S! Thanks for posting about this deal!
