Ok Im new to couponing and you can call me dumb if you want to, but…did you get to use the gift cards you recieved on this purchase?? And so how did that work – it rang all up then the cashier handed you the gift card/s and then you hand them right back and use them to pay for that same purchase??

WOW! I’m impressed! Great trip. I’m still holding onto my Glade coupons… I can find the tins but can’t find the holiday refills in stock at my local store. So I’ll have to run to the next town over some time (with coupon policy and cell phone on me… they’re a little coupon ignorant at that store). Some day I’ll have trips like this to Target. I love a good “coupon high” trip.

By the way, that Glade rebate you can submit up to 3 per household if you haven’t done so already. So instead of just a $5 glade rebate you’re talking $15 in rebates.

Great post. And love that you went together as a group (sans kids!). I’m with Clippin’ with Carrie – I have been able to get a lot of the Glade candles over the last few months by shopping at various stores (Target, Walgreens & CVS) and when they have deals, and I too only by 4-6 (depending on the deal). The “bad couponing manners” comes in play when you go to buy your candles and you see that someone else has gone through all the tins and taken out the coupons already (but left the tins). THAT’s really annoying. And they have all been for gifts. I just packed 25 gifts bags for teachers, child care workers at the YMCA, swim instructors, gym teachers, etc each with a candle and refill, some Bath & Body soaps (when they had the great deal a few weeks ago) and will be baking about 20 dozen cookies next weekend. As long as you’re varying your shopping, not pinching the coupons/peelies from packages, etc, buying up 41 is not a big deal.

Only one thing missing…your reusable bags! Target gives a $0.05 credit for each one. Not the best deal but it’s more savings in your pocket & better for the environment.

You are amazing! I am completely in AWE! I thought I was good at the whole couponing thing, but I realize now I have a lot to learn! It is not rude to get a good deal and be smart about it. Stores run out of merchandise and we have all lost out on good deals because of it, but it’s okay cause the next time it will be our turn. Enjoy your GREAT DEALS!

I did not buy all 41 of those candles all at one time. I buy them 5 at a time and I always leave plenty behind for others. I shop at 5 different Target stores once a week as well as Kmart. I shop that many Target stores in order to leave a lot of stuff behind for others. I assure you I DO NOT have bad couponing manners, and I gave most of them away as Thansgiving gifts to the people that work at Starbucks that have become friends over the past couple years as well as teachers and to everyone in my coupon class. I believe I only have 3 left for my own personal use. My obsession with them is because they are such great gifts and so cheap!
Trust me…there are a lot of times I go into a store and items that I blog about are gone and it can be disappointing, but at the same time I am happy for those who were able to get the deal.

I must say though- it seems overboard to buy up so many of the Glade candle tins. Esp. after reading the comment above that she purchased 41. I watned to buy 2 for my work desk and could not find any. Just b/c you CAN buy out the items for free doesn’t mean you should. Seems like bad manners to other couponers. I shop coupons, too but only buy within my fair share. I think this kind of things is what will lead to companies clamping down on coupon deals.

I’m Jealous! All of my Target stores are out the the glade candles…probably my fault since I already have 41 of them…I seem to have a small obsession with those darn candles!

I got the Target coupons in the 10/25 Sunday paper, it was a separate insert with only Target coupons.

As far as the Bertolli coupons, you should be able to print 2 from each computer. We have 2 computers here, I printed from my parents house as well. Hope that helps!

good job! I’ve been trying to find the $1.50 coupons but I’m having a hard time. Also, I’m unable to print more than 1 Bertolli coupon – how do you do that? any suggestions will be appreciated.

Great job Julia, I didn’t have enough coupons to do those deals. I haven’t been able to find a target that has any of the glade candles & refills in stock.
