The Frugal Find Forums

We’ve done it before and we’re doing it again!

The ever so fun Frugal Find coupon swap is being planned and you’re invited.  If you need coupons but don’t have many to trade, please come as many of us have many more than we need.  This is a great place to bring all of those diaper coupons you don’t need and trade them for cat/dog food coupons.

If you’re interested in attending The Frugal Find Coupon Swap, contact me and I will add you to the list.  The date/location has not been set yet, but if you’re on the list you’ll be the first to know.  There is a limited # of spaces available, so it is first come first serve.  I also have a few door prizes planned…just thought you’d like to know :)

How it works:

  • Bring coupons that you don’t need, can’t use, or simply would like to share!
  • Take coupons that you need, can use, and would love to have!

It will be organized and the how’s and to’s will be detailed out at the event, looking forward to meeting several of you for the first time!

On any given day you can find someone offering up coupons to swap or just give!  I love visiting over at the forums, just recently I saw someone share her Kellogg’s movie ticket codes since she wasn’t going to use them – how sweet is that?  Just tonight, a reader named Rachelcommented on The Frugal Find Facebook page that she posted 5 FREE Redbox codes over in the Frugal Find Forums.  Head on over, take a look around, and enjoy!

I love the community that is forming over there, keep it up everyone!  For those of you who haven’t joined yet, I’m seriously wondering why not?

I’d like to call this a grass roots movement among couponers – one that could drastically impact our communities and ultimately the entire country.

During the Week of May 2-8th I’d like to challenge you to give from your stockpile to support your local foodbank. You can also leave a bag on your porch (May 8th) for your letter carrier to pick up in an effort to Stamp Out Hunger.  I realize most of you do this on a regular basis, but the challenge is to see how large the impact could be if we ALL gave. I am joining Kaley’s vision and jumping in on this Couponing for Community challenge myself.  Head on over to the Couponing for Community Facebook page to see just how many bloggers are participating, it’s going to be a very exciting week!

Over in the forums, I saw a post started by AshleeW…

“I thought it would be fun to give myself $5 and see how far I can stretch that for this food drive. I bet I can at least fill up a bag (or two!) of food. If any one else is interested in joining me in this challenge I thought we could post on here where the good deals are and what and how much we are able to buy for just $5.”

Several of you have posted your $5 shopping trips over there – I just love that!
Here is the first transaction I did yesterday at Lucky Supermarket with my $5:

Buy (8) Boxes of Corn Flakes
Use (4) $1.50/2 from the 3/28 RP
Pay $2.56 OOP (twice – paid in two transactions)
Get (2)  $3 OYNO Coupon
Final Price: $0.88 Money Maker!

I now have $5.88 to spend!

So will you join me?  Either from your current stockpile or would you take $5 and see how far you can stretch it this week? The deals are good, check out Safeway & Lucky for some money makers too!

If you’ll join me, I’d encourage you to TELL US ALL ABOUT IT!! What will make this event fun is seeing how much everyone has given!  Upload pictures on the Facebook page and share in thecomments what you have been able to give.

Check out the list of participating bloggers, wow!

Have you been over to the Frugal Find Forum yet?  I’ve been lurking myself and learning a TON from these ladies, wow.  Cathy sent me the following message that I thought I’d share with you all…

“Everyone I have “met” on the forum has been so willing to share ideas and coupons.  I have already received coupons (in the mail) from two people I connected with on there; and I have sent out a few coupons to others as well.  I am glad to be a part of this forum!”

If you haven’t joined the forums yet, head on over so you don’t miss out on all the fun!

Have you visited the forums? Are you active on the forums and if so are you enjoying it?  I’d love your feedback!

Let’s chat!

———————————————————————————————————–

I am VERY excited to announce the latest project here on The Frugal Find – a Community Forum driven by YOU.

It’s a place where you can share your latest deals, ask questions, and swap coupons!  Take a minute to introduce yourself to the.com/munity.  I’ve had a team of around 15 people working to get the forums up and running, they’ve been a HUGE help – but we need YOU and your invaluable input.  Let us know if you have a topic idea that would be an asset the.com/munity.

Have a peek around, and we.com/e!

A BIG thanks to my top contributors!

Boy this is going to be fun! I know you’ve all had many conversations with each other via thecomment box underneath a post and I know what a pain that can be.  Well I’d like to introduce you to The Frugal Find’s Community Forum!  Please head on over and make yourself at home – start a discussion, join in on an existing one, or just poke around silently for a bit.  I’ve started the first discussion titled, Welcome – please introduce yourself!  I might even have a few exclusive giveaways for my forum friends!
.
In the future, when this post is long gone – you’ll find a box on the sidebar where you can click to head to the forum.

I think this will be a fun place to discuss a wide variety of topics, but a few that came to mind were:

  • Coupon Swapping
  • Shopping Trips (Successes and Failures)
  • Find a deal?  Share it!
  • Are you a beginner, pair up with a pro!
  • Meal Planning, share your recipes!
  • And much more…
