With any newspaper subscription, I do not suggest you sign up for their auto-bill/pay because I’ve heard from many people that they were often over-charged and/or their paper’s were not being delivered but they were still being charged.  It’s always best to be in control of paying a bill on your own, you’re in the driver seat that way.  We still use online bill pay through our bank account, that’s helpful so we don’t have to remember to pay it and we don’t have to get stamps, etc but at least we can stop the payments if an issue were to come up.  We’ve always had a 100% success rate with the companies above using this method of subscription.

Does one have better coupons than the other, or are they the same? I definitely want to sign up but I’m not sure which one!

The SF Chronicle has MUCH better coupons, but I’d recommend getting 2 papers. Often times you’ll need 2 coupons to maximize a deal.

Thanks!! In addition to my neighbor’s paper donation to me, now I can maximize more deals.

I asked CC times if I can get better deal that $0.77/week since other paper is offering $0.38/wk. And they gave me the deal of $10 for whole year and they said in July they are giving every new auto-pay customer a free $10 Shell Gas card. And the lady told me that auto-pay thing will keep my subscription price forever so I guess I can keep $0.19/wk forever (and 1st year is kind of free because of the gas card). That is not bad price for some coupons, even though they are not the best selection.

The SF Chronicle link doesn’t work for me. Both the link and the customer service rep are offering a $3.90/wk deal, which I’m not interested in…

Is the promotion current, do you know?
