Amazon Deals

This is incredible and I have NO idea how I am just learning about this, but alas today is a good day on the Amazon front!  Amazon Prime has literally changed the way we shop here in the Frugal Household.  FREE 2-3 day shipping on all of these great Amazon deals? Yes please!

Now you can share the membership with 4 other people, here is what you’ll need to do…

  1. Head to “Your Account,” then, once signed in, “Manage Prime Membership.”
  2. There you’ll see your Prime membership status, but scroll down a bit and look for “Invite a household member.”
  3. You need to provide a name, email address, relation, and a birthday for each member.
  4. When they move to activate the Prime benefits, they’ll need to know your own birthday.

Note that they’re only going to benefit from the free 2-3 day shipping and not the video or kindle benefits.  That’s nothing to complain about though!

Here a few current Amazon deals that you may be interested in…

  1. 42% off Intex Seahawk 4 Person Boat – $85.24 Shipped!
  2. PB2 (Powdered Peanut Butter) sale – as low as $2.80 per jar!
  3. Pampers Baby Dry Diapers – $0.13 per Diaper Shipped!
  4. iPhone 4/4S Cases $2 or Less (8 different styles) + FREE Shipping
  5. and MUCH more over here.
Sharing is nice, so please share this post on Facebook with your friends and family too!

.
Thanks Life Hacker!

One note, this DOES NOT apply to student memberships (both the free and half-price periods).

There was a time back when they first launched the student memberships where you could (and I did take advantage of that) but that was changed fairly quickly (although those who were added were allowed to stay).

My dad added me on his Amazon Prime account a while ago but I’ve never been able to get it to work for me. Anyone know how?

If you add someone, can they see your history? I don’t want my mom seeing everything I have bought!!

I have the 1/2 off membership and I don’t see it either to add a household member. Great for those than can though. I LOVE amazon prime!

Not to sound like a downer, but when it says, “Add a household member” I wouldn’t feel honest about just adding my friends who live wherever. I think the intent of this was so that husband/wives/children, or even roommates could have separate log-ins and all benefit from free shipping to their one household. Just my thoughts.

That’s a great point – thanks for mentioning that. I didn’t take it to mean you could invite friends, co-workers, etc but I did take to mean you could invite family members. However it does appear that they have to live with you, strange… It doesn’t ask for anything except your birthday.

It now says you can add co-workers to your prime. I’m looking for an “online co-worker” to share an account with! :)
