Sam’s Club is convenient and the prices are reasonable. They do have the BEST price anywhere for spring bottled water. Just under $4 for 36 bottles here. I know you can get better deals on purified water, but I can’t stand purified. They also have better prices than most places on fresh veggies and fruit. Nothing is in too large of a bulk pack to make it unusable for a small family. I think Aldi’s is cheaper for fresh veggies, but Sam’s Club has a wider selection. They have good prices on individually wrapped items for lunches. I know most of this can be purchased cheaper through sales and coupons, but when sales and coupons for specific items are not to be found, these are good prices.

We mainly buy shredded cheese (chedder mix and mozerella – can’t seem to get it for much cheaper with store sales), eggs and occassinally lunch meat if we need it and can’t find a good sale. Their food court is nice and cheap for a family night out too! Oh and I love browsing through the gifty type of stuff (:

Now I have only been couponing for about 2 months… At SAMs I buy tp, paper towels, laundry det, and various foods…. So far I have not seen a deal with using coupons to be cheaper… The food is worth it as long as it gets used and not wasted

Jen – I am now able to get ALL of my paper products for cheap or free using coupons and store programs (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Etc.)…also I have about a year’s supply of laundry detergent that was anywhere from free to $1 per bottle! There are many ways – I’ll never go back to paying for those things now, lol :)

For your California readers, there have been coupons put out recently in the inserts for a 1 day visitor pass. They state on them that in CA, there is no additional fee for purchases (non-member fee)
I have a couple of them from the last few weeks, and since I don’t go to Costco that often, this would work out better for me than paying for a 15wk trial.

At Sam’s I buy pasta, rice (Basmati is the BEST!! and I’ve only found it at Sam’s), bouillon cubes, vanilla (the real stuff and very cheap!), and toilet paper. Bulk spices are also a once-in-a-while purchase there for us.
