SafewayShopping Trips

My daughter and I spent the morning shopping, we had a blast!  First stop was Safeway (and of course Starbucks with my FREE Grande Fall Beverage coupon) plus she got a cakepop for $1.50.  The kid’s each pitched in $3 towards the Cars 2 DVD ($12 off, score!).  The deals we purchased are listed below.  Since we are able to double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons I was able to get an additional $2 making my total only $12.30 for the all of the groceries plus $18.99 for the DVD.  I will also get 10% cash back for endorsing Safeway. Hi Julia – Where is the coupon for the sparkling Ocean Spray juice? That link goes to a “wounded warrior” website, not sure if there’s a coupon hiding in there somewhere?
thanks!

I also hit Safeway today!!! My trip was not pleasant as my 2yo was with me and not happy about shopping! lol It was WELL worth it though!!! I also got the Rice-a-roni with my JFY each box only cost .37 cents! I stocked up and got 20! I ended up spending about $82 oop, but got the $10 catalina, as well as $20 worth of Kimberly Clark products with my cars 2 purchase to submit for the $10 MIR (not to mention my full cart!)! I also got the Ocean spray, but I got the Ruby-Cherry with $1.00 off 2 coupon from all you so it only cost me $3 for all 3!

thanks for the heads up on the Krustez Oat Bran Pancake Mix – final cost .34! I had found a $1 catalina in my shopping basket last week and then the .25 coupon you mentioned – I was pretty happy!

Has anyone had a problem with the Ocean Spray coupons this morning? I can’t get to the page to access them.

Doesn’t Safeway have a policy of not accepting IP’s for free items? I’m gonna try it today, but they have declined me in the past on those types of coupons. Maybe it’s different in Oregon?

Nancy, from what I understand this isn’t technically a free coupon since it required the purchase of other items. Mine worked just fine.

Hi Julia,

I had the same issue as Bargain Hunter did. I just purchased a boat load of juices and went to use my coupons for the free sparkling juices and they would not accept the coupons. Went to customer service to explain that I had to purchase 2 juices in order to get the free item and got denied the free juices, again, because it was an internet printed coupon. Having shopped at Safeway for a long time, I understand the coupon policy; however, I agree with you. I had to purchase two items to get the FREE item so it’s not like I’m just walking out of the store after not having purchased anything. I wanted to check this post to see if others had a problem before I called corporate to see if they would be of any further help?

I tried to use the free sparkling cranberry juice coupon at my local safeway and they did not accept it becauce of their coupon policy “We will not accept “free product” internet printed manufacturer coupons.”=[

The clerk at my Safeway manually typed in the price of the “free” juice, 3.99, and on the checkout screen it looked like it worked. She didn’t question it. However on my receipt, it was not there. So I ended up paying full amount for it. Not sure what happened there.
