Safeway: Foster Farms Fresh Ground Turkey as low as $1.99 each!

by Julia on October 12, 2011
Safeway

I stopped by Safeway today to buy the Foster Farms Turkey for a few recipes I’m planning this week.  I was so excited to find that the packages at my store all had $7 worth of coupons inside.  I was even more shocked to find a high value $2/1 Foster Farms Fresh Turkey Tray Pack coupon inside!  If you can find the same package, you’ll be able to get them for as low as $1.99 each!

Foster Farms Ground Turkey, 20 oz – $5.99
Buy 1, Get 1 Free
$1/1 Foster Farms Fresh Turkey Tray Pack 10/2/2011 SS Insert (exp 4/30/2012)
OR $2/1 Foster Farms Fresh Turkey from inside the packages
Final Price:  $1.99 each

The other coupons inside are $2/1 Foster Farms Fresh Ground Turkey or Sausage AND $4/1 Foster Farms Whole Turkey!

*Note* Most stores do not allow you to use a coupon on the free item of a BOGO sale, but it is based on the manager’s discretion.  They WILL be reimbursed, so I’d say it’s worth asking.  If you’re able to use 2 you could get 2 packages for $1.99 or $0.98 each!

I’ve got several more Safeway deals coming right up…

It’s worth mentioning that they do the FF turkey BOGOs semifrequently, and the coupon has an expiration date pretty well into next year.

I have a BOGO coupon for Foster Farms ground chicken burgers. Does anyone know what stores in Central CA sell them? Vons doesn’t and the meat dept. said they can’t order it. Thanks.

I couldn’t find the coupons in the package of ground turkey yet it says $7.00 worth of coupons on the front?

Did you look under the meat? That’s where we found them.

Some of the FF ground turkey packages have coupons inside, look out for those! :)

Yes, I looked under the meat. I bought 4 packages at the Clayton Safeway. I opened up two packages to double check and there were none, yet the front says $7 of coupons inside. I just got off the phone with Foster Farm’s, and they are going to drop them in the mail for me. Phew! I thought I would miss out.

On my Safeway page I found that under personalized deals they have the ground turkey for $3.99 per package, so with the $2 off coupon I got my 2 packages of ground turkey for free. So you might want to check your personal deals page out :) it’s worth the few minutes to at least check if you have the same deal. (angel)

ahhh…I opened the 4th package and I found the coupons! However, it says that the $2 off coupon is for the ground turkey breast. Is that the same as just the ground turkey??

Kristina October 12, 2011 at 3:46 pm

The $2 is for the ground turkey “breast” the one on sale is “lean :( $1.99 is still a great price though. Did anyone else get the $1.49 Skippy in their personalized offers?

Dot October 13, 2011 at 2:46 pm

I found the same thing, Kristina…but I’m going to check with my store and see if they’ll take the $2 coupon on the lean as well…sometimes they do, if the register accepts it

Kristina,
Yes :-) Does that include the natural Skippy too?

Aurea,
Call the Foster Farms corporate office and tell them. They will send you the coupons.

@Megan, do you have the number we can pass along to those that didn’t get the coupons?

My trip today @ Ygnacio Valley Rd Safeway:
2–FF Ground Turkey .98 ea (includes $7 of coupons inside*)
2–Wishbone Salad Dressings, huge 24 oz! $.99 ea Personal Price – $1/2 coupon** nearby=$.49 ea.
2–Skippy PNut Butter, reduced fat chunky $1.49 Personalized Price
4–Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cereal $10.96-2($1/2) coupons cut from box in pantry. Rec’d $4 Milk Cat!
1–FREE Just4U Peppercorn Grinder (choice of salt, seasonings, pepper)
1–FREE Just4U Fuze
Notes:
*FF Ground Turkey–you’ll want to jiggle your pkg to view the packet of $7 in coupons just to make sure it’s underneath the meat! Don’t be shy.
**Wishbone $1/2 coupons are near the product. It’s a green thing with recipe/coupon in a dispenser. Just4U Personalized Deal states $.99 is for Wishbone 8 oz to 24 oz, so choose the 24 oz located way on the bottom shelf to maximize your deal! You can use the Italian dressing as a meat marinade if you don’t use it on your salad.

Correction on Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cereal: it’s 4 for 2.99(4)=$11.96-2($1/2 Q’s)=$9.96, and rec’d the Milk Cat

Hi Julia. We were also at the Safeway on 3rd/Franklni (Bend OR) a few minutes ago. Just an FYI…they replenished their 50% off stock today and there are TONS of great bargains. Alcohol, laundry detergent, rice pilaf mixes, condensed soups and more in the freezer section just to name a few. I suggest taking an extra visit if you have the time.

The FF Ground Turkey is also regularly priced at Target for $3.49, so $2.49 w/ $1/1 coupon. For those of us in CA who blacklisted Safeway and their high prices. Oh, am I the only one? ;)

I just returned from Safeway AGAIN, wanted to try using the $2 coupon from inside the ground turkey package, it works! Got $2 off EACH package becuz the register records the B1G1 as a card savings, not a free item…also got the Wishbone salad dressing, found the $1/2 coupon on the display, got 2 with a Just4U savings of $1, made them free, altho the self-serve register asked for assistance because the cost was $.49 each and the coupon made it an overage of 2-cents…

I went yesterday to vons in socal and bought:

4 of the ff ground turkey @ bogo for $24
used $1/1 (from 10-2 Ss)
for a total of $8 or $2 each

Each one had 3 coupons inside. $2/1 ground turkey breast $1/1 ground turkey and $4/1 whole turkey.

I went back with 4 $2/1 and 4 $1/1. I bought:
8 @ bogo for $24
Used 4 $2/1
+ 4 $1/1
for a total of $12 or $1.5 each.

I ended up getting all the same coupons inside again, but only used the 8 $2/1.
I went a third time bought
8 @ bogo for $24
Used 8 $2/1
For a total of $8

I collected the coupons and did another 8 @ $1 each.

So I bought 28 packs and spent $32. Saved $136. It took a few trips, but it was worth it to me.

I should add, I was worried the $2 off turkey breast wouldn’t work on the normal turkey trays but they did with no problem from computer or cashier
