Good tip about weighing the box of strawberries. I’ll remember to do that! The new J4U Personalized Deals are up today. I received a new $3 off $10 Produce. I might do this with Bay Area pricing:
(1) Strawberries, 3lb Friday Only $5.00
(15) Sweet Corn @ $0.17 ea (this is rock-bottom price) = $2.55

Got a free Philly Cooking Creme and a 3.3 oz. bag of Doritos Jacked chips for free with Just4U, be sure to check your acct.! Re: corn, be BBQ it – my veggie-hating hubby loves it – by oiling it lightly with olive oil, sprinkle on seasonings, wrap in foil….I cut the kernels off what we don’t eat the first night and freeze it in meal-sized portions for us later…YUM!

Dot, does the corn retain it’s flavor? I have been thinking about freezing whole corn on the cob, but know nothing about it.

Yes, we find it does, but I wouldn’t freeze it for more than 6 months, unless you vacuum seal it…otherwise you could get ice crystals, etc. in the container and that eventually affects the flavor…

Check your J4U prices…I had a FREE Hillshire Farm Gourmet creations sausages and FREE Ball Park Angus Bratwurst ones on mine. Both of these are on sale this week for B1G1 so I was able to get 2 packages of hot dogs and 2 packages of sausages ALL for FREE!!! Yay for free dinner for a couple of nights

I am ALWAYS confused with Safeway. Are the coupons that we add to our card Safeway/store coupons or MFC? Take the Best Food Mayo. Its on sale for 2.99, safeway has a coupon I can load for 2/2. Can I also use the coupon in the S.S. insert for 2/2. I had this issue at Safeway once befor and they told me the “online” coupons are MFC. If thats so then how can I load them to my card? I looked it up at Safeway once, and to be honest the wording left me confused.

If they are in the ‘coupons’ section of Just4U, they are usually manufacturer’s coupons and can be stacked with personalized prices or a Safeway store coupon…they are just like a coupon you would clip…other special prices can be stacked with MC’s, like the Sweet Baby Ray’s – I had the $1/2 coupons from a few weeks ago, so I really saved on the sale price….all can be loaded on your card…if in doubt, print out the coupons…

If you are referring to the ones on the Safeway web site they are store coupons. You will see many of the same ones in the weekly ad. In fact if you have loaded them to your card and you hand them the same one from the add you will see it will scan at $0 (since it was already taken off by the card). I always load and cut the store ad just in case it didnt get saved to the card properly.
You can stack them with mfg. coupons.
