Hey i had a question about safeway that i thought you might be able to answer. You know how you can load coupons onto your safeway card? If you have a coupon loaded on there that is a lower value than a in-hand coupon will they take both or do they use the one that is on your card automatically?
It seems like the last few times ive shopped i give them my in-hand coupons and when i look at my receipt later it is a lesser amount taken off. i hope it makes sense what i am asking…

im wondering if u buy 5 boxes, will they still be $1 each?

and to stephanie, scan all of your coupons first and then scan your club card. they will deduct your coupons first and then deduct your club card coupons if applicable. well this is how i do it.

also a tip is to use self serve when you use coupons at safeway, some cashiers will make a big scene and not accept your coupons but at self serve, they don’t really mind

well im not really sure if you can get for example:
4 for 4$ fruit snacks
-2$ for 4 boxes
and then club card $1.50 off 2
does any one know if this works?

Sam, yes you will get them for $1 each as long as you buy 4 or more. I forgot about the $1.50/2 coupon! Do you still have yours loaded on your card? If so your deal will be even better! Read this post – one of my readers did in fact get paid back! However – personally, I would just buy other items I needed to avoid that situation because your cashier may not be as nice as the one in this post -

Julia, I found a new coupon booklet at Safeway today. It’s called Make It Tonight – Simple, Affordable Meals. There are over $20 in good coupons in the back of it, and several easy recipes inside.

On a side note, people may want to check their receipt to be sure they got their items for $1 or $1.50 when they bought 4. My receipt showed the $2.00 and $2.50 prices, so I need to go back and have them adjust it. It may just by my card, as I’ve been having trouble with my ecoupons coming up. Just wanted to let people know.

Jen R. with a buy 4 save $4 your savings is reflected at the bottom of your reciept not on the prices themselves. Maybe that is what happened! Check the bottome! Hope that helps!

How are you able to get the Lever soap for free? According to Safeways coupon policy “We will not accept Printable Coupons for more than 50% of a product’s value. For example, a $2 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that sells for $5 or more, but a $2 off Printable Coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 will not be accepted.”
My Safeway in Martinez wouldn’t take the coupon.
