This a a highlight of the deals this week 3/7 at Rite Aid, I also wanted to show you how I organize my small makeup items. I used to use a bin system, but I could never remember what I had, let alone find something when I needed it. So watch the video to see how I keep these deals organized!

oh ok, I thought you meant like 3 for biore and 3 for John Frieda. Thanks!
Wonderful storage idea for make-up. I love the idea, as mine is under the sink in a plastic bin. This is a much better idea. Thank you so much. Loving the videos.
Love your organizer! Fabulous idea. Thanks for the video too, very helpful.
Thanks Julia…really like the video. You are a great video voice, and your videos always make me more motivated to save money!
i loooooved your make up storage system! i cant imagine being able to have all that for free! great video too, thanks so much for sharing!
Great video, Julia! I would love to see some more, maybe on a regular base if possible. Also love the idea of organizing make up. I hardly use any these days, being a stay at home mom, but I can use them in gift baskets. And now I realize and promise to never pay again for make up – EVER!
A friend shared your site with me about 3 weeks ago and I am amazed by the things I have gotten for $1 or less (or FREE). I hope I can stay as inspired as I am right now. After noticing I have 8 deoderants for my husband, I read your post about not getting things you don’t need. I like your gift basket idea, but my next goal is to start collecting things for our missions closet at church. We have a closet that our visiting missionaries get to “shop” out of for their family. It’s wonderful to see their needs met with the free items they pick out. I always wish I could give more to this closet and now I can. Thanks for all the time you put into your blog. I’m a mom of two (2 1/2 and 6 mo.) and I work part time as our church secretary from home (mostly during naps and late at night). I don’t always have time to hunt out these deals, but I most certainly get out when I can. Your leg work on these deals allows saves me so much time so I can do more with coupons! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I love the organizer. What a great and frugal way to store makeup!
I wish I had a Rite Aid!!
Great deal!
Your organizer is awesome. You have soo much new makeup!
i watched the video there is way more makeup then one person can use in one year!,so what do u do when most safety experts say the makeup is good for so long and then it starts to detoriate. do u just throw it away or do u open a new pack and throw away the old half full stuff? i mean like lipsticks and mascara and esp any eye product makeup? im all for free but im not for wasteful..and i mean this is thr most sincere way.
Thanks everyone, I am so glad you liked the video and that you were able to get some organizational ideas for yourselves.
I’d love to hear what else you would like to see on video…
srv thrifty gourmet – Like I said in the video, I share it with friends and family on a regular basis. I purposefully buy different shades for people that I know. Also, though…I don’t consider it wasteful to buy a product for free just so I can test it out on the flip side I would consider it wasteful to buy a product at retail just so I could test it out. Sometimes I fall in love with it, other times I toss it or if it’s something that can be shared I’ll pass it on.
Plus, like I said in the video too – get ready for a giveaway!!!
I hope that helps to explain a few things
I went to Rite Aid yesterday and got some great deals! I loved when you did your video of your shopping trip at CVS, I believe it was CVS. It helps me to actually see the deals being done on video! I cannot tell you how much I love your blog and how much you inspire me each day to save more. Thanks!
Julia-
How does the SCR work for the products you bought when it says spend $15 on the products? I know if it says “buy any ___”, that this works but can you do that for dollar amount rebates too?
Hi Julia,
I believe all KAO products must meet the $15 threshold to qualify for the $5 rebate. With the clearance products, I don’t think you would be able to get a profit unless the rebate system cleared them as “earn $5 for every 3 items;” You would be able to get more products though for a lower price and with profit if you have more coupons though. Thanks for the great makeup organizer idea
Yes Tegan you’re probably right!
Note: The Biore Strips have $2.00 off Biore Skin Preservation coupons inside.
Thank you so much for sharing your shopping trip and make-up storage idea! Great video.
John Freida on clearance at my RiteAid as well. I signed up for RiteAid’s shopper thing, and got a $5/$25 coupon and a few other coupons… as well as watched some videos on adperk.com and got some coupons there too, as well as another $5/$25
Just shopped and got 2 John Frieda’s, 2 other shampoos that I had coupons for on clearance, 2 cans of nuts, and misc other stuff… 21 items for $23… that’s making your own sale indeed.
How do you get the SCR’s? Do you have to
sign up for a card or just keep your
receipts( without signing up for anything)
and then enter the information on my receipts
into the website? I want to do
some of these deals but want to
know what I have to do for the SCR’s. Thanks!
did the almay and covergirl deal, wow those were awesome…even though i got a bad cashier who tried to tell me they couldnt do BOGO coupons on a BOGO sale and then when her supervisor had to come show her how to do it she put it $15 off instead of $15.99 so i ended up paying 99 cents for the covergirl but still better than $32 retail!
Does the cover girl coupon cover all their products? Went to Rite Aid today, and the cashier said only powder and foundation were included in the coupon. Huh?
It should be any face product, but eye shadows, mascaras, and lip gloss wouldn’t apply.
Blush, powder, foundation and concealer? Anything else? Want to make sure I have the right scenario before I go. P.S. thanks for the quick response!
Right, just not the colors – does that make sense?
I didn’t quite get that. Does that mean the items you mentioned before-concealer, foundation, blush and powder is included, but nothing else?
If I were to go and use this coupon I would use it on foundation, powder, blush, or concealer. I would not use it on mascara, eye shadow, or lipstick. Sorry I wasn’t clear!
Aha moment! NOW I get it! Thanks so much! Guess where I ‘m going after work? lol Good night
Hi Julia,
Which Riteaid did you go to? I tried the Pittsburg and Pleasant Hill Riteaid for the Covergirl deal but didn’t manage to. Had horrible experiences in both. At the Pleasant Hill Riteaid, the cashier insisted that I had to buy the second free item exactly as the ones pictured in the coupon! It took over half an hour for them to try figure out what to do and in the end, I just walked out without buying anything. Sigh!

I had no problems in the PH Rite Aid, ask for the manager next time – I’m so sorry! The manager on Contra Costa Blvd’s name is Chris, in fact he even told a friend of mine that he watched this video and liked it! Also, don’t forget to go armed with the coupon policy…

Hey Julia, Thanks so much for showing us these deals. I found the clearance John Frieda at my Rite Aid last week. After submitting the info for my SCR, it shows that my purchase is insufficient for that rebate. Is there anything I can do?
Unfortunately, it looks like its a specific amount out of pocket that needs to be spent. Instead of buy 3, it’s spend $15.
