We posted this several months ago, but just in case you forgot, here’s your reminder.
JC Penney is bringing back the FREE kid’s haircut deal and for good! Looks like the were happy with the response and their marketing ploy worked well for them with 1.6 million free haircuts given out during the month of August! Every Sunday you can get a FREE haircut for your kiddos. I’d still suggest making an appointment if at all possible.
We took all 4 kids recently and even after a $5 tip (for each stylist) we still easily saved over $40! The great part is that the stylist are still paid their normal hourly wage since they do not work on commission, but since it’s free is nice to tip generously if you’re able to and if the work was done well.
They also gave each child a sample product, some hair gel for the boys and and a smoothing cream for my daughter’s hair. Plus we booked their next appointments right then and there!

Is there an age range like the Aug promotion? Or all ages ?

I believe it’s K-6th grade, but I would call to confirm at your local salon.

I called my local JCP (Lexington, KY) about the free haircut for kids. The person answered the phone said they stopped doing the free haircut for kids in February (then she said in early February when I asked if they still had openings in February). I thought JCP is making the free haircut for kids permanent.

Our local JCP (Springfield, IL) also told me in February that they were no longer going to offer them. I had an appointment on the books for March 3 and they will honor that appointment but nothing after it.
