I heard that the Walnut Creek Nob Hill is considered an underperforming store and is at risk for possible closure. I will be sad if Nob Hill leaves because I’m weaning myself off of Safeway.

I love that store, too. I was chatting w/the manager. He is trying to get more customer traffic in, I guess to increase sales. I also heard that Safeway is interested in that grassy lot across Nob Hill which has lain empty all this time (just what we need, yet another Safeway?) :( Our Nob Hill is so coupon-friendly & plain old friendly in general!
