Thanks to MyBlogSpark, they sent me the above “Top This” prize pack to review…such a hard job!  My daughter LOVES the Totinos pizza rolls, they are known in our house as the “Movie Night – Smorgus Board” treat.  So a movie night is in order!  I thought I would test out the Pillsbury Toaster Strudels this morning on the kids.  This was a pleasant surprise for them, a break from cereal…the boxes and boxes of cereal we have in our pantry are b coming sorta boring. But thanks Kelloggs for the awesome rebate, 10 free boxes of cereal, I am not.com/plaining!

Here are their responses:

Cody: “Ok, mom just one bite…then I don’t have to finish it if I don’t like it right?   Then… “Yumm! I am going to eat the whole thing!”

Haley: “Mom you know I will try anything, I’ve even tried squid before.  Yep, see I tried it and I really liked it!  Will we be able to buy these again?”   To which I said… “Yes honey, if we have a coupon for it!”  Sorry but my brand loyalty lies as far as whether or not they have a coupon available.

The so very cool thing about MyBlogSpark is that they also gave me a “Top This” prize pack to give to one of YOU!

“Top This” prize pack that includes:

(1) Free coupon for Toaster Strudel
(1) Free coupon for Totinos Pizza Rolls
(1) Box Tops For Education certificate worth 10 bonus Box Tops
+++ Plus some great school supplies for your family!  (Pictured above)
If you’re a Box Tops fanatic like I am, even though we are homeschooling I am this.com/pulsion to clip everylastboxtop, with this prize pack you can clip up to 14 Box Tops coupons from the products in your prize pack!

My favorite back-to-school memory was my first day of 5th grade when I wanted to sit on my horse to wait for the school bus. I knew this was an unreasonable request but for some reason my mom indulged me and when the bus pulled up I was sitting on my horse with everyone looking out the window! I will never forget that!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite back to school memory is just remembering being too excited to fall asleep the night before it was time to go back. It was fun to wear new clothes and see all my friends that I hadn’t seen much over the summer.

My favorite back to school memory was taking a trip to Portland, Oregon every year to stock up on back to school clothing and supplies. Oregon had or has no sales tax so that is why we traveled there.

Thanks for the chance to win!

I remember in 1st of 2nd grade, the smell from the cafeteria was SOOO good, it was chicken and noodles and I couldn’t wait for lunch! It made my first day great! (I guess our school was a bit different than some I’ve read about, our food was awesome and chicken and noodles always came with the best buttery rolls!)

My favorite back-to-school memories are going through the required supplies list with my mom and loading and re-loading my backpack. Now, my sophomore in college enjoys the same thing….and, she prefers school supply shopping over clothes shopping. Gotta love it!

I would have to say my oldest daughter’s first day of school was quite memorable. While I was teary-eyed, she was so excited about finally getting to go to school that she was beaming from ear to ear!

i loved back to school clothes shopping with my mom. getting new clothes was nice, but we’d drive an hour to get to the mall, have lunch, and shop and talk our way through the stores. we always ended the trip with an aunt annie’s cinnamon sugar pretzel. ahhhh.

Fun! I love MyBlogSpark! I have to say I can’t wait to start memories with my littles since my own Back to School days are such a blur. My toddler is 2 so we aren’t too far away.

Is it weird that my favorite back to school memories are all from college? Grade school was nice and all, but I never looked forward to anything like I did the first day back to college. The anticipating of seeing all you friends again after the summer… Anyway, thanks for the great giveaway!

I remember my mom sent me to school with a huge peony for my teacher and I was SO excited to ride the bus. I looked back and my mom was crying.

My favorite “memory” for the 1st day of school is a tradition really. If the kids are not up before I get up, (which is the way it usually works :) I go in and take a picture of them before they wake up. Then we usually have a treat for breakfast that we don’t usually have like donuts or sausage biscuits :)

This is my daughter’s first “back to school” since last year was her first year of preschool. I am taking her picture in front of our tree in the front yard every year (which my mom did every year growing up, too).

My favorite back to school memory was getting new clothes for school. The neighborhood kids always showed each other what they had been bought and what they would wear for school the first day. We did not buy so many clothes then and it was quite a treat to get new ones. I started school in 1957.

The first day all 3 kids were walking to school. My daughter in braids & my 2 special needs boys with their book bags that were on wheels. All in their uniforms white tops & blue bottoms.

My favorite back to school memory is that very first day and being able to finally wear all my new clothes and use all my brand new school supplies!! Everything was so new! And it was never the same as the very first day. LOL.

And my first child’s finally goes to Kindergarten this year! I have been a stay at home mommy so I will really miss him even though it’s only a half day! LOL.

Well this year I am hoping that by some miracle I will be able to start a back to school tradition with my daughter.I know that growing up my sister and I would get so excited about going shopping for new clothes, a new backpack and all the supplies that were on our list. Mom would take us and one thing I always will remember is being able to buy new shoes and having to wait to wear them so they would remain brand new for the first day of school. Well I dont know if that will be a possibility this year for my own daughter. She is 5 and this year she will be starting Kindergarten. She is so excited and feels so big but it breaks my heart when she sees all of her friends getting new clothes, shoes , backpacks and supplies then she asks me when will I take her to go shopping so she can get her things as well. I just dont know how to tell my 5 year old daughter that this year , her first year of school that mommy and daddy dont have any money. How do you explain to a 5 year old that daddy got laid off and because of the economy daddy cant find a new job and has had to go back to school full time so that next year we can do all the things that are needed. We have tried to get supplies but I went to 2 different school supply giveaways. The first I waited 2 hours in the heat and when it was my turn I was told that they had run out. The second one I got up at 5:30 am last Saturday and waited in line till 8am and when I got to the tent they told me my daughter had to be present, even though I had her social security card and school list. Well she wasnt feeling good so I decided to leave her home with my husband and not make her wait with me. I went home and picked her up and when I got back they had already given everything away. I have always pictured this first year to be a year for all of us to remember especially my daughter but I am afraid the memory will not be a good one.

Katie, I can hear your pain, I am so sorry. I’d encourage you though to make the most of her first day taking pictures, doing her hair a special way, painting her nails (if you allow that) just anything to make the day stand out. We have 4 kids and they don’t get much either, but even when they do, we’ve noticed what stands out most in their memories are the things we’ve done WITH them not bought FOR them. I hope that helps. I know how hard it is not being able to buy the things we want our kid’s to have, but most of the time those are our own feelings…
