My kids love the jungle.

My 5 year old has always called it the “play jungle”. She doesn’t want us to confuse it with the real jungle. :)

my little cousins would love this…

They used to have a location in San Francisco too but it no longer exists!!! err!!

Karen H July 9, 2010 at 7:52 am

recreational swimming has always been a frugal summer fun activity for kids. It’s so inexpensive (for the kids at least) – $1 for 90 minutes of swimming at most public pools in San Francisco.

My daughter loves the jungle but my son has never been.

i’m looking forward to the opening of the new walnut creek library..i know we can spend some time in there. it looks great from the outside

Libraries are a great place to find activities for free! We go to story time every week, participated in the summer reading program (and got some cool free stuff), and play with the toys at the Concord location.

This one would be great to win!

My daughter LOVED The Jungle when we went there for a birthday party a while back

Reply

Candice July 9, 2010 at 8:47 am

My kids are still happy running through the sprinklers in our back yard and eating an Otter Pop for summer fun!

Reply

Danae July 9, 2010 at 9:49 am

:) Yep got a 6 foot diameter wading pool last year at the end of the season for $5 and my daughter is in love! I always tell people the simple things really do keep younger kids happy.

Reply

Candice July 9, 2010 at 12:23 pm

So true! It’s usually the adults that want the expensive things for kids, when most children are happy with the simple stuff and quality time with parents.

Candice July 9, 2010 at 8:49 am

We also like the Contra Loma Lagoon

Reply

Christy B July 9, 2010 at 8:55 am

That looks so fun!

Even though it’s not a frugal activity, we love going to the Brentwood Corn Fest each year (I think it’s $10 for adults this year, $5 for kids).

i love reading the comments about things to do this summer…i’m always looking for fun new activities

Rock City on Mt. Diablo is a great thing to do. It costs $10 per car to get in, but if you bring your lunch or snacks in you could spend hours there for about a dollar a person depending on how big your car is. Lots of places to hike and such…rock city just has a lot of rocks you can climb all over and hike through.

Since my daughter is still under 2 we look for anything where kids under 2 are free…I figure we can start paying for her when things are no longer free!

Reply

Dena July 9, 2010 at 10:07 am

My grandkids would love this! I have never been there, looks like so much fun can’t wait to try it out.

I will definitely take advantage of this deal. I snapped up the oakland zoo membership deal after I saw a post about it on The Frugal Find. Thanks!!

Reply

Brenda July 9, 2010 at 11:39 am

Haven’t been to the Jungle in a while. Free sounds like a nice incentive!

Reply

Brenda July 9, 2010 at 11:41 am

Our cheap Oakland zoo membership has been a great frugal find. In fact, we just went to Fresno and we got in free with our Oakland membership.

Reply

Sara July 9, 2010 at 11:48 am

We have never been to the Jungle and I know my kids would LOVE it!

Reply

Candice July 9, 2010 at 12:21 pm

I wish I had gotten the zoo membership!

Reply

Susie Kaz July 9, 2010 at 12:21 pm

Awesome! My youngest 2 have never been because it’s something we couldn’t afford once I got to kid 3 and 4!

Reply

Susie Kaz July 9, 2010 at 12:23 pm

The Zoo Membership has been awesome! We went yesterday for the 3rd time since March, my kids are starting to get older so probably the last year I could get away with doing this. But has given us something to do for nothing this summer since it’s already paid for. Even took a friend with us for free yesterday as well!

Candice July 9, 2010 at 12:33 pm

It is really nice to have a deal that is great fun for the whole family.

Would love to win! The Jungle rocks!!

Reply

Kelli July 9, 2010 at 2:49 pm

We usually go to the jungle in the winter to get some energy out when it’s raining but it’s fun anytime of year!

Reply

Linda hahn July 9, 2010 at 2:50 pm

Can’t wait for more of these passbox deals to come a little more north. But Concord is close enough!

Reply

Annie July 9, 2010 at 2:51 pm

I used to enjoy the library “prizes” when I was a kid for reading so many pages. Enjoying free tickets to baseball games, etc. Thats one thing I would look forward too (plus it helped me relize my love for reading)

Reply

Rachelle R July 9, 2010 at 2:52 pm

i was thinking the same thing–the jungle might be a nice activity to escape both the heat and the rain!

Reply

Linda hahn July 9, 2010 at 2:52 pm

I think my husband likes The Jungle as much as my daughter!

Reply

Jen R. July 9, 2010 at 2:52 pm

A great spot is Ardenwood Farm in Fremont. Certain days are $2 for adults and kids 4 and under are free!

Reply

Annie July 9, 2010 at 2:53 pm

It would be neat to see a passbox deal for six flags in Vallejo!

Reply

Jen R. July 9, 2010 at 2:53 pm

I haven’t been to the Jungle with my kids yet, so this would be lots of fun!!!

Reply

Kelli July 9, 2010 at 2:53 pm

I saw someone mention pixie playland but we like Small World Park in Pittsburg much better. Instead of paying per ride, you pay to get in and the rides are unlimited although there are less rides then at pixie. But you can go fishing for crawdads if you bring your own pole.
