Disclosure policy.Walgreens has added scannable, mobile coupons to its award-winning mobile applications by offering exclusive discounts to smartphone customers beginning Black Friday (Nov. 25) and continuing through Dec. 24. With point-of-sale scanning available at more than Walgreens’ 7,700 stores nationwide, this will be the largest retail mobile coupon program in the U.S.
Coupons will be offered one at a time (changing every two to three days) starting Black Friday and will range in value from 50 cents to $5. They will be good toward a variety of products including beauty items, gifts, consumables and everyday essentials like diapers.
Other Walgreens mobile shopping features include:
- View the weekly ad and the latest sales
- Shop directly from any smartphone
- Browse products and check in-store availability
- Receive text alerts regarding special offers and exclusive deals

I dislike this new trend of mobile coupons, mostly because I don’t own a smartphone nor would I be willing to pay a data plan >=O
me too! I don’t even HAVE a phone… can’t afford it.
