Vlog Accomplished: Target and Safeway

Note: I inadvertantly made my husband sound like an impatient man, but he is SO far from that.  To this day he will still sit and listen to my silly Frugal Finds.   He has been a constant vessel of support on this journey.  He is home with all 4 kids today while I attend Save up 2009!  I love you Jeremy!

This was a lot of fun, even though I look totally nervous I’m just beating a 3 day fever so that’s what I’m putting the blame on.  :)   I’m really tired but also VERY excited to be leaving today to attend Save Up 2009.  There were 40 bloggers selected nationwide to attend Save Up and I was one of them!  We all  have a chance to get media coverage, so keep your fingers crossed for The Frugal Find!  I’ll be blogging from the event, so check back tomorrow, especially on Facebook for all the “happenings”.

Also, don’t forget to stock up on Wii games at $5.00 each!

To find the deals I talk about in this video, check out Target’s Weekly Deals HERE and Safeway’s Weekly Deals HERE.  For other coupon match-ups that may not be mentioned, feel free to leave acomment and either I or one of my wonderful readers will help you out!

Here are the pictures so you can see a little better some of the items I purchased this week:

If you dont mind answering…curious, how much do you spend in a typical week? We have 5 boys, and when you said $60 was more that you typically spend, I cant help but wonder what you do spend for a family of 6 on your weekly groceries. Thanks : ) ..and have a great time today!

Haha, yes Krista tell your mom that my pantry is STOCKED, but it quickly depletes.
Thanks Angie, you’re so sweet :)

Courtney, we spend $45 a week on groceries and haven’t hit that mark in weeks until this week! We have 4 kids, ages 8, 6, 4, and 2. Sounds like you have a full house too!

Seriuosly?…what do you eat? We have 5 boys, ages 10, 8, 5, 4, & ,2. Does your $45 include diapers, wipes, tp, pt, laundry items, health & beauty items?…we budget about $175, but that includes EVERTHING purchased at a store, even if you cant eat it. lol
Do you use a meal service for planning meals? Are they all “homemade” or do you do alot of prepackaged? Thanks for taking the time to answer all my question! : 0 )
Oh! I wanted to share with everyone that there are peelies ($1 off ANY Kashi product & $3 off any 2 Kashi products) starting to show up on Kashi items at Target. They look to be “target” coupons, and I paired them with the Kashi peelies ($1 off Frz item, $1 off snack item, $1 off cereal) and you can score SUPER cheap cereal bars, frozen meals, and cereal, and FREE waffles! Hope that all made sense : )

Also Ive seen the GM FREE movie ticket promo showing up too, BUT only on Reese’s Puffs…We’ve gotten 5 Free tickets already and need any creative ideas for Reeses Puffs LOL! : )

There was a Reeses Puff .55 off printable (ive already used mine) paired with Target printable $1/2 GM makes it an okay deal, considering your getting a FREE movie ticket for every 2 you purchase…
