My first shopping trip to Fresh & Easy…

Fresh & Easy, Shopping Trips

My total for everything pictured above was $20.30 before my $5/$20 coupon from today’s Fresh & Easy flyer in my SF Chronicle.  I also used a coupon from the Fresh & Easy Facebook Page to get my FREE re-usable bag.  I felt like such a rookie shopping there, is was a very new experience.

I was however pleasantly surprised with the low prices throughout the store.  Now, personally I don’t see myself buying too many manufacturer’s items there but I will definitely go back for some of the produce deals and the possibly the Organic Coffee (have to taste it first).  Even then I’d probably only go with another $5 off $20 or similar coupon.

For everything pictured above I paid $15.30.

Pineapple – $1.49
Mandarin Oranges, 5 lb box $3.99
Fresh & Easy Organic Ground Coffee, 12 oz – $5.88 (everyday low price)
(2) Frozen Bagged Veggies, 16 oz $0.99 (everyday low price)
12 Count Tortillas – $0.99
Whole Wheat Pizza Dough  -$1.49
Diced Onions, 10 oz (so excited not to chop them!) $1.00 each wyb 2
Stacy’s Bagel Chips – $1.29 (full size bag too!)
Spicy Brown Mustard (missed getting in the picture) $1.19

Try their brand pita chips…I think they are MUCH better. We also like their brand on sauces and such.

I shop at F&E quite frequently. It’s closer than my Kroger store. I love how you can get in and out so fast. I love it for the quick trip to the store stuff. I mostly do produce there. The 98 cent produce rocks! I love baby carrots and always get them there. What you need to do is check the clearance section. Find out when they mark things down each day. They mark them down 40% and then 70% off. I always get good deals on those fresh steamable veggies and stuff. Sometimes the meat is OK, and then I just freeze it when I get home. Mostly ground turkey.

Beware, your coupons are going to vary from week to week. I’m sure they were pretty good this week because of the new store. Ours was $3 off $20 this week. But still, it’s saving. I used mine at Kroger this week b/c of time and did most of my shopping there today and they are taking competitor coupons. Plus I have a bunch of bags too. :) My other advise for F&E is to get on their email list. I have gotten some really good coupons on there. Like $10 off $50! Talk about a good deal!

Great prices! Can’t wait until the Antioch store opens. I’m wondering if making my own bread is going to become my thing since the Oroweat Outlet is closed. Still bummed about that one…

Looks like you did well! I just checked out a nearby F&E last week on a whim, just to see what they had. Some of their sweets looked amazing. I’ll have to check them out with a prepared list.

I also checked out Fresh & Easy last week, nothing special, except Medium size Eggs :-) they claim it’s Organic too. Kids liked their baked Raspberry mini Strudels.
It’s more like a mix between Safeway and Trader’s Joe, just smaller :-)

No, they don’t take coupons other than their own.
