The Mayor over at Claycord shared a local opportunity to give back to the children and teens in our.com/munity. I know times are tough for everyone right now, myself included. We’re scrambling to gather gifts for our children this year. However the deals are plentiful! I know that as Savvy Shoppers we can make a real dent in this need!
The nonprofit organization is called Don Braggs Kids. Yes THE Don Braggs, AKA Tarzan! Here is an exerpt from the organization’s request:
Don Braggs Children’s goal is to bring Holiday gifts to children in the Bay Area. We are working closely with local group homes, homeless shelters and emergency aid homes. We currently have an overwhelming amount of homes requesting help this holiday season and are hoping to fulfill some of there wishes.
These children are often in very bad situations whether it’s a drug addicted parent, loss of loved ones, or severe abuse and neglect.
Our goal is to make the depressing holidays a little better. We want to raise money for gifts, clothing, warm jackets and toys. I will personally be shopping for these gifts and all of the proceeds will go to the children.

I’m going to list just a few of the recent deals I’ve found related to Christmas shopping and children. If you have time and a few extra dollars, you can help out this very worthy cause.
So far with the deals posted below for a total $5.40 I can donate 6 Hasbro games, Disney’s UP Movie, and Disney’s Monsters Inc. Not bad!
I will personally commit to donating at least 1 toy from each of my children and hopefully more! Will you help?

I just bought a Santa Mr. Potato head for $5.99- $5 IP coupon, so 99c at Target. It’s a great one for popping in a child’s toy drive and covers a wide age range.
