Locals – FREE Mens/Boys Haircut

by Julia on August 21, 2009 · 6 comments

A group of Pleasant Hill women have come together to implement their vision of creating a local newspaper for their city.  There are a variety of subjects and you get a great feel for the community by reading.  I will be writing an article for them in the next few months as well, so stay tuned!

The paper is called Pleasant Hill Community FOCUS, I have an email out to Elena Hutslar, a co-publisher of the paper to try and find out where you can pick up a copy.  If you already have a copy, flip to page 15 for the coupons.  If not, I have spoken with the Asst. Manager at Sport Clips who confirmed that you can print out the coupon from THIS pdf (page 15) and bring it in for your FREE haircut!  While you’re there you can read through the various articles, it’s definitely and up and coming paper!

This FREE Haircut coupon is good for NEW customers only and can be used at the Pleasant Hill location next to Kohls.  For more details you can go to their website HERE, looks perfect for men!  There are also other discount coupons you’ll want to save for next time.  The coupons expire on 9/30/09

  • Sports on TV
  • Guy-Smart Stylists (cute girls?)
  • Open Every Day
  • No Appointments

I was excited to read through it, but even more giddy when I found a coupon for a FREE haircut!  I’ll be taking my 5 year old, we’ll see if they really mean boy’s haircuts.  I thought about truly putting them to the test and bringing my 2 year old but I felt a smidge bad for the girls.  Anyone been here before?  I’ve driven by it several times, but typically I cut my own kid’s hair being the Frugal mom I am.  Mistakes and all…so I thought my son deserved a good haircut this time around.

You can usually pick up a copy of local papers such as that at the advertisers.

I found my copy at the Pleasant Hill Farmers’ Market. The manager, information booth has them on Saturday mornings during the Farmers’ Market until they close at 2pm. http://cccfm.org/

I took my son to Sports Clips–he loved it! It’s obviously sports themed and they added on (for the first haircut) this special package where they put a warm towel on his face, shampoo & blowdry, and shoulder and neck massage. Since then, he’s been asking to go there whenever we drive by! Hope your experience goes well.
