Local Business Highlight: 5 Little Monkey’s Preschool (and a Giveaway!)

Bay Area DealsGiveawayMiscellaneous

Today I’m featuring a local preschool with a very desirable a.com/odation for parents: live web cams in the classrooms and playground.  If my kid’s were in school this would be something I’d be very interested in.  When emailing with Jessica, she said the web-cams are very secure, each time a parent leaves the passwords are changed.   I drive by the school often an can see the tip top of the playground, and it sure does look like fun!  We call our kids lovingly “the monkeys”, but we only have 4.

They have a cute website, check it out HERE.

Jessica, at 5 Little Monkey’s preschool is offering The Frugal Find readers a great deal!  Mention The Frugal Find and you’ll get FREE registration, that is an $80 savings.  I’d say it’s worth looking into!

If you’re a current parent or former parent, we’d love to hear what your experience was like at the preschool, just leave acomment to share!

Giveaway!

Just thinking of the preschool age, can bring to mind moments of insanity and utter chaos.  They all have such strong personalities and they are very vocal about thier likes and dislikes.  Just the other day I was getting lunch ready and as with everyday in our household nap time followed on it’s tail.  That didn’t make him happy.  Neither did the fact that I said, “No, son we cannot have Candy Corn for lunch.”   He bagan to argue that it in FACT WAS corn and so it was healthy.  I can see his logic, but being that I am a bit older and wiser I see the flaws.  Well that day my son was going to revolt.  He calmly said the following while I tried to hide  the laughter.

“You’re the meanest mom I ever had.  I’m going to run away…AFTER lunch.”

So I thought it would be fun to offer a giveaway, a book that has helped me immensly in dealing with the 2, 3, & 4 year old age.  Well actually it’s help with all the ages!

I’ll be giving away 1 copy of the book titled “The Power of a Postitve Mom” by Karol Ladd

Wow she says lots of funny things but one that I remember right now is while we were driving to burney falls she asked the infamous question… How much longer. We looked at the navigation – it said 7 min so we said 10. About 15 min later we are still not there, stupid navigation, she asks again. Now it says 7 miles so we said 10 minutes. Her reply, how many more ten minutes??

Sounds like a great book.

we’ve been at 5 little monkeys for about a month and we love it. My daughter too doesnt want to leave and asks to go when its not a school day. Great teachers, great everybody. I feel very safe having her there and I know she is having a great time.

Silliest thing shes ever done- Summer before last I took her, her newborn sister, and my stepson to Disneyland 2 days after 4th of July, very crowded. Coming out of the baby care center I was putting her sister back into the stroller. She goes over to a fence and tries to fit through the slates. She ends up getting her head stuck. Ended up with about 30 Disney personal, walkie talkies in hand trying to figure a way to get her head un-stuck. Ideas such as rubbing butter around her head, cutting the metal fence apart were thrown out. She was not upset about the situation at all, she wanted to hurry up and get out to ride dumbo.
She managed to slide out sideways. She got a sticker, ice cream, and pins from Disney personal. We went this past summer and some of the same Disney people recognized her. Good times ;)

Well I see they haven’t fixed that fence yet. I got my head stuck back in 1974 when I was five as well.

One thing my two year old , Joseph, did recently…I was a bit sad and sitting on the couch and he said, ‘are you sad mommy?’ To which I replied that I was indeed a little sad. He said, ‘I’ll make you happy mommy!’ and he walked up to me, put his sweet little hands on my cheeks and smudged them up to ‘make me happy’! I was completly cracking up after that, and told him he always makes me happy!!! He’s so sweet.

Well this isn’t the sillest ever but it was the most recent silly thing said. My 2 year daughter said “Mommy, I love boofy! my reply “who is Boofy?” As which she points to the the tv (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on)”Boofy is silly!”

Kids are so darn cute!

When I was pregnant with my son my daughter said she knew why I had a baby in my tummy. When I asked why she said, “Because Daddy loved you up.”
