Living Off the Land Recipes – Week 1

by Julia on January 1, 2010
From Our Pantry

During the month of January, I’ll be posting every dinner I plan to cook for the week starting today.  The following meals/recipes are made this week almost exclusively from items in my pantry or deep freezer.  I’m also challenging myself by making several new recipes.  This week is a full week of hearty recipes, we’ll see how much creativity I have left 2 weeks from now.  Of course each week we’ll have to purchase milk, fruit, veggies, etc.  However with the 99 cent store on hand and a $30 budget this should be a fairly easy task.  We shall see!

Jan. 1stBusy Day Pork Chops – served with Brussel Sprouts & Rice

Jan. 2nd – Homemade Pizzas with all the fixins, thanks Krista!

Jan. 3rd - Potato & Bacon Soup – served with warm crusty bread.

Jan. 4thBruschetta Chicken Bake, Thanks Susanna!

Jan. 5th – Michael Angelos Veggie Lasagna, bought them with my BOGO coupon!

Jan. 6th - Chicken and Broccoli Parmesan Pasta

Jan. 7th – Breakfast for Dinner, I really just want to test out the new griddle my kids got me for Christmas.

Thanks for the mention! But I’m warning you, that soup is addictive. Very addictive.

I need to make some… NOW

Don’t forget if you wanted to get pre-made dough you can buy it pretty cheap at Papa Murphys and it comes on that baking tray so you wouldn’t have to dirty a baking pan lol

They have different sizes- I can’t be too sure what they range(small-family?). I wanna say the small one was $2 and the family size was $4…not 100% sure but it was for sure under $5 for the family size. We even bought a extra one and made breadsticks with it :-)
