UPDATE: I have TERRIBLE news, I am so sorry the newspaper just backed out. Like I literally JUST got the phone call. I’m sick to my stomach. I am so sorry everyone!
UPDATE #2: Ok so thanks to those of you who attended the live chat even though the deal flopped, I had a great time chatting with you! I hope you enjoyed the spontaneous giveaway too – let’s do it again!
We’ve been talking a lot about this hot Bay Area News Group deal and the time has come, I can finally spill the beans (well almost). You see the price is SO LOW that I am not allowed to announce it here on the blog. However they’ve given me the great opportunity to share this deal with you via a live webinar coupon class. It’s really simple, you’ll just need to reserve your spot before the class starts then come back and watch me jabber for 15 minutes, during which we’ll announce the crazy low price and get you signed up and on your way! I’ll have a “newspaper liaison” at the class with me to help answer your questions, etc.
If you are in the delivery area for the following newspapers (both new AND existing subscribers qualify) you’ll want to attend, trust me.
- San Mateo County Times
- Marin Independent Journal
- Oakland Tribune
- Alameda Times-Star
- Santa Cruz Sentinel
- Monterey County Herald
- San Jose Mercury News
- Contra Costa Times
- The Daily Review
- Tri-Valley Herald
- Fremont Argus
So back to the webinar, I’m actually really excited about this. Typing out blog posts all day long just isn’t the same as talking to you! We’ll cram as much as we can into a 15 minute session and there might even be a quick giveaway announced just for the attendees!
Ok so are you ready to sign up and find out how you can get up to 5 newspapers delivered each and every Sunday and STILL save off the list price of just one paper? I thought so, ok so here are the details…
Click HERE to reserve your spot for
Thursday, Oct. 18th at 1pm!
.
Please Note: This offer is not available to the general public directly through the Bay Area News Group, in order to get this discounted subscription offer you must pre-register and attend a Frugal Find live event.

Barbie October 10, 2012 at 10:12 am
Are the super great newspaper rates only for new subscribers or can current subscribers extend theirs?
Julia October 10, 2012 at 10:14 am
Great question! This offer is available to current subscribers as well!
Barbie October 10, 2012 at 3:23 pm

Debbie Kurson October 11, 2012 at 8:04 pm

Monica October 18, 2012 at 10:57 am
I have to work, so sad I won’t be able to attend
Tara Berke Torres October 18, 2012 at 1:04 pm
That’s too bad, I canceled plans to make it. Can we have an idea, now that it is no longer, what this deal was? To be honest, it seemed a little bit of a pyramid, as we couldn’t find out until we attended the “meeting”… I’d like to know if it would be worth it to attend in the future.
Mr Frugal October 18, 2012 at 1:09 pm
Tara it was a screaming good deal – we weren’t allowed to say how much it was for which is why we didn’t. I’m still not sure if we should or not so I’ll leave it at that. If you go sign in to the chat, Julia is giving away some stuff since the newspaper deal fell through.
Leslie October 18, 2012 at 1:43 pm
I don’t know what today’s deal would have been, but I’m guessing quite similar to the “deal” at CC Times offlice 3-D class last Wednesday…
$19 per paper, 20 weeks… and a $10 gift card back on EACH subscription!!!
QUITE a deal
Julia October 18, 2012 at 1:44 pm
Ok so it was MUCH better than that…
Leslie October 18, 2012 at 1:56 pm
Wow Julia…
I was surprised that $9 per paper (up to 5 papers, including current subscriptions) for 20 weeks was a good deal… hopefully I’ll continue to get my papers… or get a refund, as the charge has already hit my C/C
Danae Hoobler October 18, 2012 at 2:38 pm
I’m glad I didn’t end up missing anything as my internet went down and just now got back online! I was so sad I was missing it…would have been nice to still talk though
Leslie October 18, 2012 at 3:07 pm
NEWSFLASH… Bay Area News Group just called to tell me that they’re cancelling my multiple subscriptions and I’ll get a refund in the mail… but they’re honoring my first subscription… whoopdie do!
Julia October 18, 2012 at 3:23 pm
Seriously?! What a MESS! In hindsight I’m glad they cancelled before we offered the class now.
Leslie October 18, 2012 at 3:31 pm
YUP… so not sure if I’m getting $26 back or $76! blergh!
