Halloween candy alternatives ( Organic!) and much more!  Here are my finds at the 99 Cents Only Store on Clayton Road, all $1:

1.    Organic Jammy Sammy, 5 ct.
2.    Cascadian Farm Organic Chocolate Almond Bars, 5 ct.
3.    Sun-Maid Raisin boxes, 7 ct.
4.    Pillsbury Halloween Cookies, 24 ct.
5.    Velcro
6.    Mio, 1.62 oz. (compare at $3.99 @ Safeway)
7.    Simply Eggo Waffles, 10 ct.
8.    Temp Tee Whipped Cream Cheese, 11.5 oz.
9.    Simply Light Sour Cream, 16 oz.
10.  Nature Made Triple Probiotic, 30 ct.
11.  Os-Cal Calcium Supplement, 60 ct.

With Halloween around the corner, the Organic Jammy Sammy in Strawberry, Blueberry, or Apple is a nice alternative to giving candy!  Other options are the Sun-Maid Raisin boxes & the Cascadian Farm Organic Chocolate Almond Granola Bars.  These little snacks are also handy to keep in a pantry “Kid Snack Station” — mine is simply a basket of healthy snacks that my kids access themselves.  They learn to become responsible for thinking ahead & packing their own snack for afterschool activies, sports, or lessons.  I also stock a refrigerated “Kid Snack Station” with options like string cheese, fruit, and yogurt cups all ready to grab ‘n go.

If you’re making a DIY costume or other decor, the Velcro (in various sizes & types) is a timesaver!  Look for it in the Halloween Aisle.  Also, if you’re doing a party, the Pillsbury Halloween Cookies are so cute — there’s a recipe on the back to make Cookie Pops, as well as a $4 Rebate.  The Rebate info is HERE, and requires a purchase of this cookie dough & ET movie on Blue Ray or DVD.  I plan on using my Temp Tee Whipped Cream Cheese and Simply Eggo Waffles together for a special treat.  In a nod to the fall season, I’ll mix a little pumpkin puree into the cream cheese … add pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon … and spread on toasted waffles!  Yum!  We’re on “pumpkin watch” right now!  If you spot any Halloween pumpkins at your store, please share!  I spotted some pumpkins at the Concord Park & Shop store last week!

This week’s shopping trip highlight was brought to you by Jolene, the  TFF 99 Cents Only Store expert! Find a 99 Cents Store location near you.

I saw the cutest pumpkins last Thursday at the Antioch store, they were small but perfect for my mantle :)

Stephanie, Oh! Cute idea! In a magazine, someone carved-out the small pumpkin insides … inserted a tea candle … used in a tablescape w/fall leaves for a dinner table at Thanksgiving.

Look for the Mio in the shelves near Check Out. There were 5 or 6 different Mio varieties, including Energy. Different ones shelved in different Check Out lanes.
