Well, I was sure surprised when we got a Catalina for a FREE gallon of milk today at Safeway. Buy (3) boxes of General Mills cereal and you’ll get a catalina coupon good for a FREE Gallon of milk up to $3.79. It doesn’t say how long the promotion is running, so I wouldn’t wait too long. This could also be regional, so if you do or did get this coupon it would be wonderful if you could share what part of the country you are in.

at first i thought they were giving away hot, free milk and i thought YUCK. lol
Sad to say but I never have gotton this milk coupon before:(, just last week I bought 4 boxes of cereal at once, I had 2 coupons for $1 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 boxes of cereal, I wonder why?? I wonder if the cashier keeps them?

So, do you actually have to buy 6 boxes? I’m noticing that the coupon says “when you buy 3″ and you have to buy 3 to get the coupon, right?
I think that you have to buy 4x at Safeway..to knock the price down to 1.69 per box
And the other links are 6 different coupon variations that are available to stack on top of the Safeway sale price..
You only had to be 3 cereals to get the milk coupon…but 4 to get the sale price..

Yeah, I understand the $4 off wyb 4 sale, but I’m wondering if the milk Catalina is saying you have to buy at least 3 MORE on a different transaction to get free milk, or if it’s just a free gallon of milk on your next transaction…does that make sense?

That’s a great question! I can’t say I’ve ever read that before on these catalinas, but it could be just an error in the wording. I’ll give it a try this evening and report back. If anyone else tries, can you please let us know how it works out?

I got a $2.00 catalina when I bought 3 personal Digiorno stuffed crust pizzas. Regularly $7.50, I used 3 $1.00/1 coupons= all 3 for $2.50.

Does anyone know if I try a double order to get the cereals on sale(two separate transaction of 4 boxes each)…will it give me a Catalina milk free coupon twice? Or is there a limit on those per club card??? I am not too familiar with Catalinas!

As long as you do 2 separate transactions you should get 2 catalinas. I for each transaction.
I bought 11 boxes of GM cereal and got 3 catalinas for free milk so I’m assuming you get one for each 3 boxes you buy with possibly no limit. I bought all of my cereal in one transaction.
I bought 6 and got the $1.99 price on each box plus (2) milk cats!!
I rolled it tonight but since I bought more cereal anyway I am not sure if it would work without buying more cereal.

Yes Terri, I’ve confirmed that the other cereals listed are a part of the buy 4 save $4 sale. At a minimum you’d need to buy 4 boxes of cereal and use (2) $1/2 coupons to get the sale and the catalina.
Buy (4) Boxes of Cereal – $1.99 each
Use (2) $1/2 Coupons (better if you have mulitples of the $0.75 or $0.55 ones)
Get a FREE Milk Catalina
Final Price: $1.49 each plus the free milk

Sweet! I’m glad they’re part of the sale! I got my sample from vocalpoint in the mail the other day and hubby LOVED them. Like Julia said, the milk Catalina is wyb 3 General Mills cereals.

Just one question… When you say this coupon “rolls”, do you mean I can use it to buy second transaction of cereal and it will spit out another catalina?

Yes that is right, only thing is I don’t think the multigrain are a part of the buy 4 save $4 sale.
Our Safeway had a flyer with a bunch of GM coupons in it right on the endcap with the cereal. It has a big $15 in savings on the front of it. It has $1 on two cheerios, $1 on Kix$1 off 2 on Trix or Cin. Crunch, plus ones for Yoplait, BC brownie mix, Gogurt, Bisquick etc.
I picked up the flyer last night and brought it home- needed to double check and see it that was the right brand to get the milk deal. Will go get it this weekend.

I bought 4 of the Honey Nut Cheerios and the free milk Cat came out, but when I went to do my next trans. w/o the 3 other Gen. Mills cereal, it beeped and didn’t go through. So oh well for me. I’ll probably go back for more cereal and then get the milk. Although I have to search for more coupons….somehow.

Mine beeped at the check out too.. I had 2x of the free milk…but they just pushed it thru since it wasn’t over the amount that it specified on the coupon.. Couponnetwork.com still has a couple you can apply.. Honey Nut and Cookie Crisp.. I believe! Cookie crisp one is 75 cents off..Honey nut is 55 cents….
I actually did a total of 3 transactions at Safeway today.. Just so I didnt have to come back for the milk

I live in Chino Hills Ca and I didn’t even know I was getting 5 free milk CATs when I bought 20 boxes of cereal. I wish I knew because I could of split my transactions and actually got the milk. NOW I am hunting around trying to find GM cereal coupons to redeem my milk coupons
Have you tried redeeming them without buying more cereal? It’s very strange the wording, but I didn’t have to buy cereal mine went right through. I understood the text to say how you earned the catalina, but I don’t know. It’s very weird.
You can redeem the milk catalinas by themselves! Don’t worry about getting more cereal.
