On December 1, the FTC came up with some new regulations for the blogging.com/munity. Essentially, if we have a link included in our posts that we may make money with, they are suggesting we disclose in the post so our readers are aware.
I’ve always been up front when I post giveaways or if I’ve been sponsored to attend a trip, such as Blissdom (gaucho.com) and SaveUp 2009 (savings.com). MyBlogSpark has provided me with some amazing giveaways, as well as MANY other companies. I’ll continue to be be transparent – so that you know when/if a link will generate some income for The Frugal Find.
When I started this blog, my goal was to help you Save more. Give more. and Live more. That hasn’t changed one bit, in fact I’ve been able to Save, Give, and Live more myself through my own blog! Basically to sum all of this up, you’ll be seeing a few more tags at the bottom that look like this:
