**This is a “recycled” post, but it’s been one of the most popular recipes I’ve written, so hopefully you’ll find it useful to!
I should preface this post by saying, taking pictures of food is an art and HUGE kudos goes to those who can do it and actually make the food look appetizing. If you can look past the pictures, hopefully you’ll find the gem of deal this meal is!
At a picnic over the weekend with several friends from our homeschool co-op group, it once again dawned on me that we all have many of the same items (freebies) in our pantry. So every once in a while, I’ll be bringing you a Frugal Recipe From our Pantry to Yours that likely if you follow the deals on TFF you’ll have all/most of the ingredients for.

Pulled Chicken BBQ Sandwiches (Serves 6)
2 Chicken Breasts ($0.99/lb at Target)
3/4 Bottle of BBQ Sauce (Free at Safeway)
Hamburger Buns (Less than $1 at Oroweat Outlet)
In your crockpot, on low for 4-6 hours cook the chicken breast with about 1/2 of a bottle of BBQ sauce. At about 3 hours, I added an additional 1/4 bottle of BBQ sauce and was able to start to shred it a bit and pull it apart. Let cook for another 1-3 hours (crockpots tend to vary greatly). You can slip the chicken breast in frozen as well if you’re planning to be gone all day, just set the timer and let it cook for no longer than 8 hours.

Making the coleslaw is simple -
Mix the following wet ingredients together, then add to 2 cups of shredded cabbage/carrot mixture.
Coleslaw Salad Mix (99 Cents Only Store)
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 Tbsp Milk
1 Tbsp White Vinegar
1/2 Tsp Sugar
Finally, serve over toasted hamburger buns either topped with coleslaw or served on the side. Enjoy! This meal was served 2 nights in a row to my husband, daughter (8), and I – my little boys DO NOT like BBQ sauce. So I can safely say it serves 6 people.

This looks very good!
Keep the recipes coming! I’m trying to use my slow cooker more during this heat & soccer season.
Thanks Angela, good to know. I LOVE my slow cooker!
