Ok, grab a seat and get ready for this deal here – it’s a good one but it takes a little bit of energy and focus to wrap your mind around the details. How does 10% cash back sound when shopping at CVS, Target, Walmart, Old Navy, Ross, Whole Foods, going to the movies, or off you favorite coffee at Starbucks? I’m not talking about shopping online either, I’m talking about Brick & Mortar shopping trips. Hitting the pavemet as you normally would, except now you’ll be getting a check in the mail for 10% of what you spent in the store. You can also earn 10% cash back on specific products such as Huggies Diapers or Charmin Toilet Paper. Sounds crazy right? It is but it’s true!
Endorse is a new company to hit the streets (based out of San Mateo, CA) they’re paving a way for brands and products to “thank” you directly for shopping their stores and buying their products. It’s a one of kind idea and I think it’s brilliant.
This is how it works…
- Head over to Endorse (Endorse is program run on the Facebook interface) and “Endorse” your favorite brands and stores. When you sign up they will ask you for your mailing address, this is for your “POP” envelopes. I’ll explain that next.
- After you shop at Old Navy for example, you’d simply take your receipt and “POP” it into the mail. Endorse will send you FREE pre-paid envelopes just like Netflix. When you “POP” your receipt you are are sending them your “Proof of Purchase”.
If you’d rather “POP” by email you can do that too! Just take a photo of your receipt and email it to pops@endorse.com, your account will be updated much quicker this way. If for some reason they are unable to read the image they will contact you, so don’t toss that receipt right away.Endorse has temporarily suspended this option, read more about why here.- It’s that easy, once they receive your receipts they will deposit 10% into your Endorse account. Once your account reaches $25, they’ll send you a check!
- Earn even more by sharing your endorsement with friends – if 5 of your friends purchase the same product or shop at the same store that you have (after clicking and endorsing that product/brand through your personal invite link) you get your ENTIRE receipt total credited to your Endorse account making that product/shopping trip completely FREE!
So who wants to test this with me?
To kick this off, I’m endorsing Safeway this week. You can see the full list of deals at Safeway this week over here. After you’ve Endorsed Safeway and requested your “POP” mailers then you just shop at Safeway as you normally would. Then take your receipt and POP it into the mail, in just a couple of days you should see the 10% of your final purchase price at Safeway credited to your account.

A few things to note – your 10% cash back will be AFTER coupons and tax. You will not earn 10% cash back on gift card purchases, but if you pay with a gift card you’ll still earn 10% cash back. You cannot submit receipts from purchases that were made prior to your endorsement. Also another huge bonus is when you endorse both a product and a store on one receipt, you’ll get the 10% cash back for both!
It sounds like long term, you’ll get the most value out of endorsing your favorite products AND stores.

If you endorse the store you’ll get 10% on your total bill, if you also endorse a product (or multiples) you’ll get 10% of those items as well.

This is Steve, the founder and CEO of Endorse.
First off, let me say on behalf of myself and the entire team, we are thrilled with your interest in Endorse. Our goal is to make the things we all love and buy on a regular basis more affordable and to enable us to buy these products with our friends to get better rewards.
Second, while my team and I have been working on the service for a year, we just launched a few weeks ago and we appreciate your patience as we get the site to where we want to be. There is a lot of room for improvement and our communications around how Endorse works, FAQ’s, the rules for rewards, a blog is still being worked on!
All of that said, our systems are awesome, we are successfully signing up hundreds of new customers a day, sending out mailers (we did close to 1,000 the last day or so), processing POP’s, and receiving all of your e-pops. As all of you that have submitted mailers to us know, we send out an email when it comes into our system letting you know we received it. We were in the process of doing the same for e-pops, but became overwhelmed with the initial inflow of e-pops. And we shifted our focus to that to make sure everyone had a great experience.
The biggest problem we have seen with the e-pops, which has slowed us down, is that many of the e-pops are not readable. Either the picture was blurry, it didn’t contain the complete image, it didn’t have a date, or had multiple receipts on one picture.
Here is what you can do to help make the process more efficient and you can get rewards more quickly:
1) Make sure you take one photo of one receipt
2) Make sure you can see all 4 corners of the receipt and that the entire receipt is in view and focused
3) Make sure the date is visible
4) Make sure the receipt is yours and you don’t send in multiple receipts from the same place with times a few minutes apart
5) Make sure you endorse BEFORE popping. We don’t accept POPs for endorsements you have not made yet or made after the fact. We time and date stamp your endorsement so we tie that to your purchase.
Thanks for your patience as we iron out the process. Give us a day or two to process your e-pop. Keep them coming as we are receiving them all.

I signed up using my daughters facebook account because I don’t have one. When you send the 10% checks out will they arrive under her name or is there a way I can have them sent in my name?
Do you have to share it on Facebook in order to get your 10% back? Or is sharing it a way to try to earn that shopping trip free if 5 of your friends POP and send in their receipts.

You do not need to share on Facebook to earn 10% back. There are two levels of rewards.
10% back- meaning you don’t need to get anyone to do anything to get that reward. We won’t have that reward forever and we will move to a more “group friendly” commercial reward structure soon. It has to be “some” work to get additional cash back, but it can’t be onerous. Right now the product does not make it easy enough to get the social construct right- but we think we’re getting there.
“Five and Free”: Yes, you get it. If 5 of your friends also endorse, shop, and POP your endorsement you get 100% back. We dont distinguish, yet, at the SKU level either; so we dont care if your friends by the same bottle of Tide- just that you all bought Tide is enough.

I really don’t think that would work out for me at all.
Can you scan it into the computer then email it over as an attachment? Because what if we have a really long or double sided receipt?

When you send the receipts via mail, how do they know who is sending them back? I dont see any indicator or numbers on the envelopes.
There is a serial number on the inside of the envelope that identifies you.

Great site! Love it! Just wanted to have you update this post. I read through the updated FAQ tonight from Endorse and they do NOT offer double rewards when you buy an endorsed item at an endorsed store, so this is no longer correct (last paragraph of this post):

I don’t understand what the POP means… if the pop e-mail is disabled, how can 5 friends pop? so I can get it free? I’m a little slow at these things… : )
Ok, maybe I’m just a little slow, but whenever I try to join Endorse through FB, a box tries to pop up but just keeps looping instead of opening until I click off of it so I can’t access it. Help?!? Is there another link to use?
I just received an e-mail from Endorse… they are reducing the rewards from 10% to 2% on 4 out of 5 of my stores… I’m sad; I haven’t even sent in my first order yet… : /
