eCoupons – All the Rage!

I thought I had this all figured out then I learn about e-coupons.

What are e-coupons?  E-coupons are paperless electronic coupons.  You go to the listed websites below, register, and enter in your store’s club card number.  You will need your club card number (not just your phone number) if you have lost your card, you can call the store’s corporate office that your club card is affiliated with and they can get that information for you.  When choosing your store, if you are with Safeway, you would select Randalls as they are affiliate stores.   You then search through and select coupons from those listed and load the savings to your club card.  The savings are automatically deducted when you shop at the specified store with your club card.

  1. Register
  2. Select Coupons
  3. Load Coupons
  4. Shop & Save Electronically

Below are the e-coupon sites that I am aware of at this point:

  1. shortcuts.com
  2. cellfire.com
  3. pg&esaver.com
  4. upromise.com – These savings go directly into a college savings account.

My shopping example for today:

Safeway :

  • I purchase 2 packs of Huggies Diapers, on sale for $9.99ea with my Safeway Club Card.
  • I loaded $3.00/2 from CELLFIRE and $1.50/1 from SHORTCUTS and they were deducted automatically when I entered in my club card number.
  • Then I used $1.50/1 from 5/24 Sunday paper and $2.00/1 from HERE
  • That makes for a total coupon/e-coupon savings of $8.00/2 packs of Huggies = $12.00/2 Jumbo Packs or 53 diapers.

My Frugal Adventures has a GREAT list of current sales at Safeway this week that include clipped Sunday Paper Coupons, Internet Printable Coupons, and now E-Coupons!

Can you email me and let me know how you were able to use cellfire for safeway? Maybe let me know the zip code you used. I tried and it doesn’t give me safeway as an option…

I will email you, for the other readers though…you select Randalls as it is a Safeway affiliate store. Worked perfectly!

I can’t find the Huggies internet coupon $2/1 on their website. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Looks like it may be gone, now but I am looking. Also I just heard there are $3.00 off coupons for Pull Ups on coupons.com, I will be posting the GREAT deal with these coming up at Target next week, so check back!

NOTE, the Pull-Ups are not on coupons.com, I just posted the link to it.

Well, there is controversary in that some people think you aren’t supposed to since they are both manufacturers coupons. I am on the fence, the way I see it is if the manufacturer didn’t want them to work in conjunction they would set the system up to beep just like they do if you were to try to use 2 paper coupons. I don’t purposely plan to shop with both types of coupons, except once when I was seeing if it works, and it does with no beeps or anything. I’m still unsure.
