Buyer Beware on this!!! You are right Julia, this is a killer price, however, when your subscription is up, CC Times will bill you at whatever price they want- usually beyond full subscription rate in my experience. Trying to cancel a subscription to avoid this has been an extremely frustrating event for me and others in my community. Though I canceled twice over the phone and once in writing, I kept getting bills from them finally totaling over $300 for 6 months service and late fees! Good price, but may not be worth the hassle for some.

Interesting Julie, I had the exact opposite experience. When my last subscription was up they called to ask me if I wanted to extend at the current rate. I had no problems and my next bill was just as it had been before.

My husband and I just came back from grocery shopping and they had a daily news stand there with the same offer, so my husband signed us up. So I’m pretty excited to be getting the paper right at my doorstep.

I sent in the card I got in the mail and I put a note on my calendar to cancel IF the price goes up. Buyer always beware tho, good reminder for all we do.

I received a sales call with a $10 for 52 weeks offer. (I was a former subscriber, so that’s probably how they have my phone number.) To get the deal, I had to give them a credit card number. Since THEY initiated the phone call, I refused to give them the information. Then a few weeks later, I received another sales call. This time the sales rep was able to give me the $10 for 26 weeks deal and suggested that I call the customer service number to ask for the same price for 52 weeks when I receive the bill in the mail. I did that, and supposedly that’s how long my subscription will be. To lock in the rate for the future, the rep asked me for a credit card over the phone. I have trouble with them holding my credit card number for a year for no good reason, so I have decided to just send in a $10 check and not worry about my subscription until it expires in one year.

I have only received one Sunday paper in three weekends and had to call when it’s missing. Yes, buyers beware…
