I am so excited that the summer is here and cheap movies are all the rage again! I’ll be adding theaters to this list as I’m aware of them, for now here are the few that I do know about.
Cinemark Theatres:

Cinemark Theatres has an awesome promotion going on through the Summer. Each week they will be showing kid’s movies for $1.00 a ticket if purchased at the box office! The deal gets even better, you can pre-order 10 Shows for $5.00 by purchasing a punch card, but act fast as this deal doesn’t last long. Go here to find a location near you and click on your specific location to see a list of the shows & showtimes.
AMC Theaters:
AMC Theaters offered cheap movies last year as well, but sadly this year they have cancelled the program due to lack of attendance in the recent years. You can score some great deals on AMC theater tickets right now, here and here.
CineLux Theater:
My friend Vicky snapped a picture of the CineLux upcoming Summer Schedule, pictured above. I can’t find the details on their website yet, but I’m LOVING the movie selections this year. Great for kids that are a bit older.
RAVE Theater:

Rave has what they call a FREE Family Film Festival, with exactly that – free movies! Here is the schedule for this year:
June 7 and 8 Megamind
June 14 and 15 Yogi Bear
June 21 and 22 Diary of a Wimpy Kid
June 28 and 29 Marmaduke
July 5 and 6 Ramona and Beezus
July 12 and 13 Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The lightening thief
July 19 and 20 Chronicles of Narnia
July 26 and 27 Gulliver’s Travels

Does this deal give you ten tickets to use, or is it one certificate? I want to know if I can buy one and get ten tickets, but use the tickets for different kids. I was going to make a movie date with one kid each week. Having some alone time with mom is fun for my kids.

Kayla, I’m not sure if you can just buy 1 pass or not…sorry.

In Southern California, Regal Cinemas (or Edwards) offers $1 children’s movies during the summer.

Regal theaters is doing something a similar. http://www.regmovies.com/summermovieexpress/default.aspx . AMC decided to cancel their program this year
http://www.amctheatres.com/smc/ . Such a bummer but at least the regal theater gives people an option, just in case they don’t have a cinemark theater.

I don’t know how many people are familiar with Picture Show theatres. We are really blessed to have one in our area (GA). It is not very close, but it is still worth it. $1 on tuesdays, $1.75 the rest of the week and $3.75 for 3D movies. They play the movies that already left the big theatres, so are a little bit behind, but we don’t have a problem with it. We love watching movies, and we watch a new movie almost every week. For $3.50 for 2 tickets, how can you say NO
Check out the website. They have locations all over the USA with the same low prices.
