I about spit my coffee out (and embarrassingly commented on this post) that I might pee my pants with excitement over this news. Frugal Living NW reports that we can use Walgreens RRs to pay for our groceries at Fred Meyer and sure enough it’s sort of in the Fred Meyer coupon policy.
We accept all valid, current manufacturer’s coupons. We do not accept expired coupons or manufacturer’s coupons that state they are valid only at another listed retailer (i.e., “Good only at Safeway”). Exception:
- Most Catalina coupons (the coupons that print out for you at check stands) are manufacturer’s coupons and are stated as such. Catalina coupons that are printed with another retailer’s name may be accepted at Fred Meyer. Note: This only applies to Catalina coupons and not to other manufacturer’s coupons that are designated as valid for use at a specified retailer.
I’m going to test this no doubt about it, but I was wondering if any of you, TFF readers have tested this already. Also if you remember Safeway accepted them for a very short period of time during a change in their coupon policy . As I mentioned in the comments section, they will *technically* scan anywhere since they ARE manufacturer’s coupons. I’m curious if Raley’s is openly welcoming them, now that would good news.
Please note: I am NOT suggesting you use them anywhere but Walgreens unless of course the store’s coupon policy allows for it.
Would love to hear your feedback…

Tomorrow we’re supposed to get a high value $5/1 Tylenol Precise Coupon in the 2/19 RP, this could be a regional coupon but I have a feeling it will be fairly wide-spread. If you happen to have a paper in town that gets better coupons than another, I’d opt for that one. If you do get this $5/1 Tylenol Precise coupon you can get them FREE at Albertsons and Walgreens!
