Reader Lori mentioned on Facebook that she scored big with the Lucky’s meat sale this week, here’s what she said…
Just got over $75 dollars worth of meat @ Luckys/Albertsons for $25 with their buy 5 for $25 meat deal. Plus, their in-store ad coupon lets you get a 6th meat purchase free. The meat choices were; ground beef, pork or turkey tenderloins, boneless/skinless chicken, and tri tip steaks. I got the highest priced/ more weight meat items to save the most. Great deal!! And I dont even like meat!!
After seeing that TFF Reader Jolene (and our 99 Cents Store expert!) stopped in to check out the deal as well! Pictured above is her loot and here is what she had to say…
I stocked-up on fresh Foster Farms Chicken Thighs w/the Pick-5-for-$25 Meat Sale. My freezer is happy now
(6) packs of Chicken, a total of 25.06 lbs.
(1) Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pompeian, 24 oz.
(1) Farmer John Breakfast Links
In-ad coupon making the 6th pack of meat FREE (deducted my cheapest pack) -$8.02
In-ad coupon for FREE Olive Oil -$4.79
Insert coupon $1 Farmer John -$1.00
In my own head, I ended up paying $0.81/lb. for the chicken, because the free olive oil was worth $4.79. So $20.21 for 25.06 lbs. of meat = $0.81/lb. Thank you to the TFFers who were chatting about this on the facebook page for the heads-up.
According to the TFFers on FB, the in-ad coupons are ONLY in the home-delivered ad. You might re-read those FB comments. I took with me my Lucky home-delivered ad (see my photo, left corner) and it contains the FREE 6th pack of Meat + the FREE Olive Oil coupons. I did not check to see if the same coupons were in the ad which is given at the store entryway.

We’ve put feelers out there a few times on Facebook and got quite a good response, so now we’re making it official. The Frugal Find is hiring! If you think you have knack for using coupons and finding deals, we’re looking for you!
Mr. Frugal and I have reached the point that we want to do so much more than the we have the time to do and so we’re looking for some help. We have a slew of new ideas and features that we’d like to start working on, but in the meantime we need help with a few of the basics. We’re looking for readers (or other frugal bloggers) who are interested in finding deals and writing weekly deal match-ups for the following stores…
Lucky & Save Mart Supermarket
Raley’s / Bel Air / Nob Hill
If you are interested, feel free to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) for the details. You can see an example of how Kimberly helps us with the CVS deals doing the weekly match-ups. If you’re interested in sharing a weekly shopping trip, you can see how Jolene helps us with the 99 Cents Only Store deals. Please note that this is a VERY part-time job and will only serve to supplement your grocery budget or fund a new shoes savings.
For those of you with a Lucky Supermarket nearby, this is an awesome promotion and it lasts all the way through March 27th! Stop in on specific days of the week for a great daily deal.
