Do you want to see our posts on Facebook? It looks like there is a new option! You can choose to get notifications every time we put a post on Facebook – Yay! Here’s how:
Go to The Frugal Find’s facebook page, mouse over the “Liked” button and click on “Get Notifications”. Voila – you’ll now get notifications when we post to Facebook. Not quite the same as seeing everything in your feed (like it should be), but better than seeing nothing.
Thanks to reader Brianne for the heads up!
I heard from a little bird that you’re not getting enough TFF in your Facebook news feed. I feel badly about that. Poor Mr. Frugal has been given the job to make sure you get the deals you want and since you’ve like us on Facebook, that means you were hoping to see status updates from us. Around the clock he sits ready to share the deals I find, but it’s quite pointless when maybe 500 of our 17,000 fans are actually getting this information. Let’s change that New Kids on the Block style! Here are your step by Step instructions so we can continue our love affair on Facebook, yes we DO love you guys!
Step one, we can have lots of fun…
Yes it’s true! We have lots of fun over on Facebook with exclusive giveaways and prizes just for our fans.
Step two, there’s so much we can do…
We have some great ideas in the pipeline, but we need you to actually SEE our updates!
Step three, it’s just you for me…
You liked us right? We like you too. Add us to your “interests list” and we can become better friends.
Step four, I can give you more…
It’s true, you’ve been missing out. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is hope I can give you more DEALS!
Step five, don’t you know that the time has arrived…
It’s time, like right now. Head on over to Facebook and follow the very simple instructions below. In no time, you should start to see The Frugal Find in your news feed again. There was much rejoicing!
HOW TO FIX FACEBOOK:
Head on over to the Frugal Find Facebook Page, on left just under our larger profile picture you’ll see a gear looking symbol. Click on the downward facing arrow right next to it. Then click “Add to Interests List” and follow the instructions from there. You can create a list for the deal bloggers you follow, a list for your best friends, a list for restaurants you eat at, it goes on and on! From there you can check your interest lists and everything they post will be there, fancy isn’t it?
If you’re in the market for a new laptop or desktop computer, I’ve found a couple really good sales today. Amazon is having a sale on Samsung laptops – from $100 up to $300 off. The best deal I see is the Samsung Series 5 NP535U4C-A01US 14-Inch for $649.99 (reg $949.99).
The Microsoft Store is also having a sale on laptops and desktops – up to 30% off. There are a few laptops on sale for $500 (reg $650), and there are also mid-range and high-end models with larger discounts.
Not sure what you need in a new computer? I’ve got you covered – read this article: Buying a new computer? Get the most bang for your buck!
Groupon Goods has the JVC 47-inch BlackCrystal 3000 Series LCD 120Hz HDTV ($949.99 list price) for $499 shipped right now! This same exact TV is $749.99 shipped on Amazon right now. This is a NEW unit – NOT a refurbished TV. We took advantage of a TV offer on Groupon Goods about a year ago – we couldn’t be happier.
Amazon has these Skinomi TechSkin iPhone 5 screen protectors (for the front AND back of the phone) for $3.95 plus $2.95 shipping – $6.90 shipped to your door! They already have 68 reviews and get 4.2/5 stars. Apparently these are thicker than your normal screen protector – if you don’t like using a case, you can use this instead and give your phone a little more protection.
Amazon has a Nintendo Wii High Resolution AV / HDTV / EDTV Component Cable for $1.07 plus $2.98 shipping, making it $4.05 shipped! With 4.3/5 stars, this looks to be a fantastic deal! We’ve had one cable chewed through by one of our pets, I’ll be buying this as a backup for our current cable.
Amazon Prime Shipping:
These items ship FREE with Amazon Prime. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, start your one month free trial today. If you aren’t eligible for the free trial, maybe a relative will share their Prime shipping with you?
Amazon has 6′ HDMI cables for $1.63 with FREE shipping right now. These cables get 4.4/5 stars with over 6,000 reviews – we have two in use at our house and I couldn’t be happier (unless they were free, I guess). I highly recommend ordering a few extras to keep on hand – you will have a hard time finding an HDMI cable for under $20 in a brick and mortar store, so spending $3.26 for two extra cables right now could end up saving you in a pinch.
Amazon revealed a bunch of new Kindle devices today, the most exciting to me is the new Kindle Fire! It still has a 7″ screen like it’s predecessor, but it comes in $40 cheaper – $159 shipped to your door. It’s has a 40% faster processor and twice as much RAM (memory) which should really help iron out some of the kinks we saw in the first version (mainly performance issues).
Want something even better? They also released two Kindle Fire HD tablets – a 7″ version and an 8.9″ version. At $199 and $299, these are still some very inexpensive tablets. With the cheapest iPad being $499, a $299 Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ sounds like a fantastic deal. They also have an 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD with 4G LTE for $499 – it has 32 GB of hard drive space (regular HD version has 16 GB) and you get 250 MB of data transfer per month for a yearly fee of $49.99. Sounds like a good deal, but it won’t take too long to reach that data cap either.
Groupon has the Toshiba P775-S7100 for $425 with FREE shipping right now. This unit is manufacturer-refurbished, and the specs are impressive! It has an Intel Core i5-2450M processor, 6 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750 GB hard drive and Windows 7. This same exact laptop is over $750 brand new on Amazon right now.

If you’re looking to pick up a Wii for cheap, this may be the deal for you! CowBoom (Best Buy’s outlet) has pre-owned Wii consoles for $49.99 with FREE shipping! Note that these won’t be in perfect condition (scratches, scuffs, maybe even marks) – but if they work that’s all that really matters, right?
If it looks like they’re sold out, just try again – on my second try (and third) I was able to add one to my cart.
