With today’s Living Social deal from the Oakland Zoo you can get two ZooLights tickets for the price of one — that’s admission for two adults for $7 or two children for $5.

While the animals snooze, you’ll see over a hundred LED displays, from toy soldiers and gingerbread men to pink flamingos and kangaroos. Your kids can see Santa, ride the carousel, and sip hot chocolate in this winter wonderland. Okay, maybe it’s not that cold, but you’ll want to bundle up for the Outback Express Adventure Train, a miniature steam-engine train that offers unparalleled views of the Bay. All aboard!

It also says over at Living Social that you can receive an additional $2 off this deal when you “like” the Oakland Zoo on Facebook, but I’m not clear on how that portion works.

Fine Print:

  1. Ticket voucher is good for 1-day visit
  2. Hours: M-Th, 5:30-9:00; Fri-Sun, 5:30-9;30
  3. Dates 12/3/10 – 1/2/11
  4. Redeem your voucher for tickets at ticket booth
  5. ZooLights closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
  6. Promotional value expires on 01/02/11

What a FUN deal over at Juice In The City today, but you only have TODAY to purchase this deal.  Right now you can get $15 for $30 Worth of Customized Ceramic Creations and Studio Fees at Color Me Mine.  I will say the pottery is fairly expensive (the kitchen utensil holder my daughter and I painted was $20)  but kid’s paint FREE on Tuesdays and you can paint with your child and only pay the child’s fee.

  • Expires on November 11, 2011
  • Limit 2 per person
  • Valid at Lafayette Location only.
  • Voucher must be used in one transaction.
If you don’t go on a Tuesday there is a studio fee, which covers all paints, supplies, glazing, and firing. At the Lafayette location, the fees are $7 for children and $10 for adults.  They do allow you to paint with your child for free as long as you aren’t doing your own pottery item.  The ceramics range from $12 to $70.

I am so excited to see this deal, since we went last time the kids have been dying to go again.  This tops the list of places they love and we’ve only been there once!  Best part – it’s connected to the mall!  Bring your hubby and trade for some shopping time. $15 gets you 2 ALL DAY Bounce Passes, so only $7 per child.  Head on over to Groupon (and select San Jose as the city) to see today’s hot deal!

This is the review I wrote just after our visit…

In my opinion the Bounce House area is bit a expensive, but they do offer BOGO coupons on their website.  It was very busy the night we were there and while I would never let my kids just roam the facility on their own – I also felt comfortable with the number of staff members they had manning the houses and slides.  They also had a 2 and under area, which is nice for the littlest ones – a safe haven from the wild big kids!

The Fine Print

  • Expires Aug 16, 2011
  • Limit 2 per person.
  • Must wear socks.
  • No cash back.
  • Not valid with other offers.

Highlights

  • Kid-oriented atmosphere
  • Inflatable rides & activities
  • Lead-free rides

Juice In The City (San Fransisco EAST BAY edition) has a $9 kid’s haircut deal today!  The team is working hard to bring you guys the deals you’ve asked for here on TFF!  Now we usually cut our boy’s hair at home – and I shared a thought that came to mind on my Facebook wall awhile back *yu can read thecomments here).

As I was cutting my son’s hair I thought – wouldn’t it be cool if everytime we cut their hair we put that $15+ into a savings account for them.  Now I realize many of you (our family included) cut our children’s hair because we don’t have that $15 laying around – in that case continue saving the money and use it where you need it.  It’s just a thought that came to mind.

With this deal, you could take the other $9 saved and stash that away!  This deal is only available to purchase through today (11/9) at midnight PST and it expires on 11/11/11 – haha, that’s great!  You can buy 3 per person.

Facebook has launched a new “Deals” section for iPhone/Mobile Touch users.  Starting today, local businesses will be able to offer you deals when you check in to their place on Facebook.  Very similar to Foursquare, you’re being rewarded simply for visiting the business.  It’s simple, just “check in” on Facebook to see if there are any deals near your current location.

Here are a few of the deals that are coming soon (if not already going on!)

        • American Eagle Outfitters: Offering 20 percent off.
        • Chipotle: Giving its Facebook guests two entrees for the price of one (Dates for this one are 11/13-14 & 11/20-21)
        • Gap: Giving blue jeans to the first 10,000 customers to claim their deal.
        • Macy’s: Offering 20 percent off select merchandise.
        • REI: Donating $1 to a local conservation non-profit when you visit its stores.
        • San Francisco 49ers: Giving to the first 200 fans who check in the opportunity to buy tickets to a subsequent football game for just (you guessed it) $49.

Here are the details on how to get your Deals from the Facebook’s Blog:

Finding deals near you is easy. On touch.facebook.com or the latest version of Facebook for iPhone, touch “Places” and then touch “Check In.” You’ll see a few different types of Deals: individual deals for a discount, free merchandise or other reward; friend deals where you and your friends claim an offer together; loyalty deals for being a frequent visitor to a place; and charity deals where businesses pledge to donate to a cause when you check in.

Nearby Places with deals have a yellow icon…

When you touch the Place, you can view the deal and check in to claim it…

Then, just show your phone to the cashier to get your gift or discount…
