CardStar Review and Giveaway: (2) $25 iTunes Giftcards!

by Julia on June 27, 2010
Giveaway

CardStar is a free mobile app that consolidates and scans loyalty, membership and rewards cards from an iPhone, iPod Touch, BlackBerry or Android device.  The app is completely free and I’d venture to say it will you save you time and money in the long run.  You can download the Cardstar app here.

Just to clarify, there are over 500 merchants listed and with the Smart Phone app you can add them ALL!  The only limitation is in regards to the card that I mention below.

Here is a blurb from their site:

Tired of carrying around all those pesky reward and membership cards on your keychain or in your wallet?

Leave those bulky plastic “reward cards” and “club cards” at home! The CardStar App lets you easily store, manage and quickly retrieve your reward, club, and loyalty cards on your smart phone, where they can be scanned directly from your screen at most merchants.  Also, receive coupons and deals to all your local and national merchants, at no cost to you!

Don’t have a Smart Phone?

You can get a Cardstar Card! The CardStar Card enables you tocombine up to six membership and reward cards on one printed card.  Like CardStar, KeyRingThing supports thousands of retail, grocery, gym, club and other cards.  You can order your Cardstar Card for $4.95 including shipping.

With the CardStar Card you will:

  • Never miss store promotions or discounts again
  • Save space, time, money, and speed up checkouts
  • Help the earth by trading all your plastic for our 100% biodegradable card

My Personal Review:

I tried this at CVS and it worked perfectly!  I was even able to scan my phone instead of my card at the Coupon Center, but I did have to move it around a bit to get it to scan.  I’ve successfully entered in every single membership card I had in my wallet, and surprisingly they had EVERY single merchant already in the system.  Everything from Zoo Memberships, Gym Memberships, Library Cards, Restaurant Loyalty Cards, Grocery Store cards, and SO MUCH more!  Yes even the new Rite Aid Wellness card!  I can’t even begin to explain how much easier this is going to make my shopping trips. To fully grasp how Cardstar works, I’d suggest you watch this demo tutorial video.

What loyalty card do you use the most? CVS
What retailer has the best loyalty program for consumers? CVS, if you pay attention
Which retailer does not have a loyalty program that you’d like to see?
How many loyalty cards do you have in your wallet/on your keyring? too many to count! :)
Which card do you use most often? CVS / Library..But I have not been successful using it at the library since the barcode is so long and on my iphone the keeps bouncing it so it can’t scan. :(
