Blowing our 2011 goals out of the water!

We are so overwhelmed with gratitude for YOU our readers.  The Frugal Find is growing at rate we had never dreamed of.  We’re meeting and surpassing goals left and right!  We had planned to reach several of our goals (set in January) by June 30th but it looks like we’ve already met almost all of them!  Rather then sit around and twiddle our thumbs we’ll be setting new goals, that means a date night and planning meeting with Mr. Frugal is on the horizon!  Yay!

Here is an update/review since we first set our goals in January:

Up through 2010, we have pretty much been running this blog by the seat of our pants – not a lot of planning, things fell through the cracks, and no real goals or game plan to speak of. I’ve never really been a goal-setter myself, but we decided now would be a good time to start setting some. It would give us something to work towards, and some sense of direction. Along with the goals, we’ve tried to start scheduling posts in advance and actually post what we say we will… still working on that!  The goals we set were only for 6 months out – since this was our first time, we tried to challenge ourselves a bit, but make the goals attainable. Predicting anything 1 year out seemed crazy, so we went with 6 months.

Here are just a few of the goals we set on Jan 1st 2011 and where we’re at so far:

DONE! Goal #1: Get a sponsorship to BlogHer 2011

A big THANK YOU to my BlogHer 2011 sponsor Juice In The City! You’ll be hearing more about that in the near future!  Since then we’ve also added a second conference to the agenda with yet another awesome sponsor, I’ll be attending the Savvy Blogging Summit thanks to Saver Time!

DONE! Goal #2: 500,000 pageviews per month by June 30, 2011

We hit that all the way back in March with 517, 249 pageviews and May brought a whopping 751,408 pageviews!  Now I have no idea where that puts in the whole scheme of blogs but for us it’s a number to celebrate.

DONE! Goal #3: 7,000 Facebook fans by June 30,2011

TFF reader, Mandy just sent in an email and pointed out that we already reached this goal too, with 7,676 Facebook Fans today!

ALMOST! Goal #4: 3,500 Twitter followers by June 30, 2011

We are just over 500 away from our goal, but to be honest Twitter isn’t my favorite social media platform, I much prefer Facebook where I can dialogue with you guys.

Started at 2,237, currently at 3,467 pretty much right on track to hit our goal.

Why are we doing all of this? So that TFF can be a valuable resource for you, our readers and in turn a successful endeavor for our family as well.   We’re doing this so we can all Save more, Give more, and Live more!
