I prefer getting live plants because flowers are so expensive! At least a plant lasts longer.

I love to give flowers! I try to grow a flower garden every year.. (and if I fail to do so, my grandmother always has an abundance of all different kinds of flowers in her garden to share!)…and during the spring and summer, I always take my mom and her co-workers flowers each week to her work! :)

I love to give and receive flowers, but they are usually from the flower department at the grocery store. :-)

I prefer to get a plant as the flowers will die in a week. But any tulips will brighten up a day!

I am not one to really want flowers….unless they last a really long time, like they have dirt. But I LOVE to GIVE anything, to make ANYONE feel better!!!

I love to send and receive flowers. Since my budget doesn’t allow me to do it very often, I have taken to sending a card or note through the mail. this would be so perfect to help cheer up my mom!!

I love fresh flowers but like you said, knowing that my husband paid that much for them kills me!

I’d rather receive fruit baskets. I didn’t realize that 1-800flowers carried them.

I think I’m with you on the flowers . . . It makes me feel better to know they were purchased after Valentine’s Day than before. :) They are a beautiful addition to any house, though. I will gladly take them or give them.

I think it’s nice of someone likes them but yeah, i always think the price and the fact that they start to die make it a bit of a bummer gift. i love chocolate strawberries though
