V-Reader is an animated storyteller that brings books to life in a kid-tough, touch screen reading system for 3-7 year olds. With V-Reader, your child will discover the joy of reading while watching well-loved characters and stories in vivid animations.

While reading the story and playing 8 reading games, children will be learning the necessary building blocks to grow from a pre-reader to a confident and fluent reader.

Includes one Vtech story “What’s That Noise?”. The library includes 11 licensed title story cartridges which include a fully narrated and animated story, 8 reading-skill games and a Story Dictionary. Cartridges are age graded for 3-5 and 5-7.

V-Reader console features a USB port (cable included) and is compatible with SD memory cards (not included) so user may download additional content. Three ways to play – Watch the Story, Reading Games and Story Dictionary.

  1. i have this vreader and my girls are constantly fighting over it. might just get a second! it is great the only down side is it goes through batteries daily so make sure to invest in rechargable batteries to save the wallet

    • Ah, good to know! Would you actually consider it an “educational” toy? We already have the rechargeable batteries, did that a long time ago. With all of the electronics in our household we eat batteries.

  2. yeah, they can click on words in the stories and it will sound it out and tell them what it is and they have games that are educational too. My girls arent big on electronics but they can sit with this for hours.

I just ordered a few other things from B&N. I used code E7U4N9X to get 30% off one item. It took the percentage off the highest priced item, which was on a 50%off sale. Hope it works one electronics. :)

  4. My daughter got one of these last year and loves it! She just turned 5 earlier this week and still plays with it. My 2 year old has also taken a liking to it!

Just went there and found the Lego Republic Frigate at 50% off! Woohoo! They had other kits half off as well if people are interested. Limited time. Limited supply!

  6. Dana Marie Stege Can you tell me if the Frigate still shows 50% off for you? When I look at it (and add it to my bag) it shows $119.99 (full price). Thanks!
