AnyLeaf Review and Giveaway: (2) $50 Safeway Giftcards!

by Julia on June 28, 2010
Giveaway

This is something to sit down for…ok are you ready?

Anyleaf is a Bay Area start-up company whose goal is to help you find the BEST price on any given item at your local grocery store at any given time.  The creation of this idea has a funny back story, the 3 men who started AnyLeaf are bachelors who live together and were planning their next grocery trip.  They’re on a budget and couldn’t figure out which store had the lowest prices that week, so AnyLeaf was born.  I met with Jeff, Josh, and Jason last week for lunch and left just giddy to share this company with you all!

We’ve all been in that situation, probably on a weekly basis.  You need to buy something (with or without a coupon) but you just don’t know where the best price is that week. Problem solved.  Rather than getting out all of our sales ads, AnyLeaf iscompiling all of that data for us.  As of right now AnyLeaf has information on Safeway, Lucky, Raley’s / Nob Hill, Whole Foods, and Sprouts. There are 2 major benefits as I see it to AnyLeaf…

1. I need to buy chicken this week, I don’t have a coupon – where is the best price?  OR I have a coupon for Minute Maid Orange Juice, I don’t know which store has the lowest price, where should I go?

2. I can now see the sales history on any given item at my local stores.  This helps me to know if what Safeway has advertised as a “sale” price this week is really truly a good price.  Here is an example of Rib Eye Steak…

AnyLeaf is new and needs your feedback!

As a thank you for your feedback in thecomment section below, AnyLeaf would like to give (2) Frugal Find readers each a $50 Safeway gift card.  Take a few minutes and test drive the AnyLeaf site, then come back and enter the giveaway!

I will be announcing these giveaways in advance on Facebook and Twitter – be sure to follow me so you don’t miss a thing!

Enter to win:

1.  Comment as many times as you’d like – eachcomment is an entry!
2.  Keep thecomments on track, by discussing the following questions…
3.  BONUS $5 Gift Card to the store of your choice if you can show that you tweeted this giveaway or shared it on your Facebook wall!

  • Other than the stores listed above, which stores would you like to see AnyLeaf cover?
  • What additional features would you like to see?
  • Can you imagine yourself using AnyLeaf on a regular basis?
  • If not, what would you like to see so that AnyLeaf would be useful to you?

This giveaway will end at 9pm PST on 7/2/10!

As an additional way to give feedback to AnyLeaf…they are currently crafting a list of Panel Member for a short 15-20 minute user test study.  They’d like to compensate your for your time with a $10 Safeway gift card.  Space is limited, so if you’re interested Contact Me with your Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.  You must be able to meet in Concord for this Panel Member session.

Disclaimer: All opinions are 100% my own, I was treated to lunch at the delicious Panera in Concord and compensated with a Safeway giftcard for my consultation time and for sharing AnyLeaf with you in this post.  The Safeway gift cards are courtesy of AnyLeaf.  You can read my Disclosure Policy, for additional information.

Any chance of getting Savemart added? That’s one of the main stores I shop at in the San Jose/Milpitas area and it IS affiliated with Luckys (one owns the other?) and that is listed.

Expanding to RiteAid, CVS and Walgreens would be cool!

Another store in the San Jose area that I shop at is PW Joey Franco. Could they be added? They have several stores in the San Jose area.

I mentioned adding Savemart, but I just realized that they both have the same sale items since they are basically the same store, just a different name. And I thought about Trader Joes, but I don’t think they really have sales, do they? If they do, Trader Joes would be a good one to add even though we don’t have one really super close. I love that store and keep hoping they will put one up closer to me!

Hi Carolsue,

We’ll look into adding Savemart. I don’t think it should be that difficult. We’ll add it to the list as soon as we can.

Initially I like the concept. I live in the central valley, so more store options would be great.
