Kids Ride Free

Kids Ride Free On Weekends

Now through November 1st!

We have a couple of train lovers in our family and it’s always a treat when we take the kids for a getaway on the train. With lots of great destinations like Paramount’s Great America, Six Flags Marine World, the Oakland Coliseum, and Pier 39 just steps from Capitol Corridor stations, taking the train couldn’t be easier! Hop aboard the Capitol Corridor train and experience a comfortable and convenient way to get to Sacramento, San Francisco, and the entire Bay Area – for shopping, work or play.

It’s the perfect time to get away for some great family fun, and now that kids ride free on weekends, it’s more affordable. Up to two children (ages 2-15) can ride for free when a companied by a full-fare paying adult.  Go here for all the details.

Take the train to a ballgame and spend an afternoon at Raley Field cheering on the Sacramento River Cats. Or wander through the past in Old Town Sacramento and visit the California State Railroad Museum.

Head off to San Francisco’s PIER 39 and explore the seaside wonders at the Aquarium of the Bay, or set your imagination free and play with the interactive displays at the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose.

Find a new appreciation for music as you take in the tunes at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.

Pack your sense of adventure and experience the new thrill rides and high-flying shows a tParamount’s Great America and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

When you take the train you’ll get there relaxed, stress-free, and well fed. Each Capitol Corridor train has a Café car for snacks and beverages. And now that kids ride free on weekends, you’ll get there with more money in your pockets too.

So don’t miss out on your chance for a fun-filled vacation at an incredible price. Capitol Corridor is a sweet way to travel with your family this summer. Try taking the train for a change.

They ran this deal last summer and fall too, and we took advantage of it to take our kids up to Old Sacramento to go to the California State Railroad Museum. It’s an easy walk from the Sacramento Amtrak station to Old Sacramento.
