I’m keeping an eye out for sunscreen. Today there was an unfamiliar brand of sunscreen sticks, but I’m hoping for name brand! We absolutely love these NY Style Bagel Chips. They’re baked, not fried, and are a great chip alternative with dippers (hummus, Philly Indulgence). The varieties I saw included Plain, Sea Salt, Everything, Sesame, and Garlic. Grocery stores sell these for around $3.99. I’ll pay only $1, thank you very much.
Despite the store name, not everything costs $0.999 or $1. Today I had to snap a picture of the O Organic Iced Tea. This is a Safeway brand, and each bottle is priced at $0.65 (compared with $1.09 at Safeway). On two occasions, I’ve witnessed happy 99 Cent shoppers loading up on this Organic Iced Tea. A lot of the non-refrigerated beverages fall into a lower pricepoint, so check the shelf tags. The only item that is priced higher than $1 is the gallon of milk. It is priced $2.99 at my store.

My store also has 24pks of water for more than $1, but not much else (maybe eggs but I can’t be sure).

Is this just the normal day you post this trip or is Tuesday the day new items are stocked?
Jolene May 15, 2012 at 4:53 pm
Lisa, my store on Clayton Rd in Concord, CA constantly stocks new items regardless of day of the week, it seems. Employees are always opening huge boxes & placing things on shelves. I like to shop on Tuesdays (and write up the post on Tuesdays) since my store receives a truckload of fresh produce on T, Th, Sat. For fresh produce, I prefer to buy it the day it is delivered. For other non-produce items, it doesn’t matter as much.
Did I answer your question alright? Please let me know if I didn’t address your question.

Thank you that is what I was wondering! I think that is my store as well in the Fry’s complex? I will be going in on T or Th from now on early in the day! Thank you!

I bought a box of the Snackwell’s popcorn and kicking myself that I only bought one box! They are soo good!
Jolene May 15, 2012 at 5:39 pm
Rachelle, I love that the chocolate caramel popcorn is only 130 calories to boot! What do the grocery stores sell this for? $3.50 or so?
When I see a hot item here, I stock-up! It might not be here again.

The Antioch store had Axe Shampoo, Axe Conditioner, Honey Maid Graham Crakers, and Lunchables with the Juice Box inside. I wish they had the Rice Crispy treats!
